Newly renovated, Gorgeous & Bright with every convenience you could want in a home away from home. The perfect house to stay in while in town; traveling for work, visiting family, or attending any of metro Detroit's biggest events.

The space
located in one of the most sought after areas of Detroit, near the University district, & Palmer Woods.
This is a 2 level home, cheerfully decorated with your every comfort in mind. Located near the Detroit Golf Club, close to major freeways and the world famous Livernois Corridor paced with shopping and local restaurants. Centrally located with easy access to major venues: 15 minutes from downtown Detroit and 10 minutes from Ferndale, Oak Park and Mid-Town Detroit.

The house - 3 bed/2.5 bath completely renovated and professionally decorated from floor to roof with a unique mixture of antique and modern 21st century comfort. On entering you will be greeted with the charming feeling of home. Modern fixtures, granite counter tops, central air, a 1st floor fireplace and hardwood floors throughout. The newest updated security locks to allow for self-check-in. The basement is setup as an entertainment room with TV, fireplace, board games, books and a very comfortable sofa bed that allows extra sleeping for two (approved extra guest).
There is a driveway for on site parking.
We offer the fastest, most reliable internet/wifi available in the area.

We had an amazing stay at Sharon's rental. The layout of the house makes it seem spacious with room for everyone. The kids enjoyed the basement game room and we enjoyed sitting in the living room with the electric fireplace going with a book. The house was convenient to both downtown and Dearborn where we visited attractions and restaurants and Sharon was very responsive with suggestions as well as all house details and check-in and check-out instructions. She is thoughtful with special snacks and decorative touches around the home. The house is tidy and clean with historic charm. Highly recommend and we will definitely stay if our travels take us to Detroit again!

We loved our stay at the Gorgeous, Bright, and Cheerful home. The house was very clean and decorated for the holidays. The kids also loves the snacks from companies in Michigan along with all the games in the basement. There was also a wide book selection. We would stay again!

Exactly what was posted. Clean, comfortable, and fun. Absolutely had everything we needed & much more. Bed, pillows, sheets were great. Loved the back yard and we spend a lot of time on the back porch relaxing. Highly recommend staying here & host was available to help anything that was needed.

This was a beautifully appointed home. It was spotless and so well decorated. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was fully equipped, and the instructions for using different appliances (the very important coffee maker!) were easy to follow. Sharon has thought of everything.We explored several places in and around downtown Detroit. This home is indeed minutes to almost everywhere you would like to go in the city. There were no big games going on (Lions, Tigers, or Wings), so traffic was not challenging at all. If there is a game going on when you visit, it might be a little more difficult to get around. The home is one street over from Detroit Mercy's campusOverall, this was a lovely place to stay and I would HIGHLY recommend the Gorgeous, Bright & Cheerful Detroit home.

House was very lovely. The layout is great and there was a lot of thought that went into decorating the house. Everything you need is there. All we needed to bring was food !!!! The backyard is very pretty and the entire property is well kept. Charming. Exquisite. Peaceful.

A beautiful & spotlessly clean house with colorful and glam decor. Whoever runs this rental puts obvious heart, soul, and meticulous attention to detail into every aspect of the space for the guest.It was a great place to stay while exploring Detroit & especially to unwind in the evening, with all the comforts of home. We hope to visit again.

Nice for a visit to the city

This cute place was exactly what our family of five needed. It was clean, close to the city, ok location, and very well priced. We enjoyed our time there and the kids (9, 6, 3) all enjoyed the game selection, mini arcade and rooms. It was well kept and the back yard was a mini oasis away from all the hussle of the main attraction: Detroit.Highly recommend.

Great destination

Sharon has set up the perfect destination for short term and long-term stays. The neighborhood is nice and travel accessible to the area. The house is decorated with a lot of style and clean. She was very thoughtful in the amenities she provided. She was accessible and very helpful. I would use her property again.

Super nice!!!

Wow!!! well appointed and thought out. Sharon’s place of everything that we needed to feel right at home. She provided snacks and coffee and other beverages. The beds were very comfortable and linens. were very crisp and clean. Great game room and beautiful yard.

Great Homebase to explore Detroit

Sharon’s home was the perfect place for my family of four to stay as we explored Detroit. In between the Zoo and Downtown, about 20 minutes to each, we were able to see and do a lot in our 4 days.The house is so charming, well stocked, and has plenty of activities for adults and kids (our’s are 6 and 9). The kitchen has the most spices, condiments, and seasonings of any place we’ve stayed, which helps if you prefer to cook at home.The basement has a ton of board games and the video games were a nice bonus. The electric fireplace and blankets kept the space cozy while watching tv.The house is thoughtfully decorated from the art to the book selection. The Detroit-made snacks were a nice touch too!My kids are already asking when we’ll be back!

Wonderful short trip

Gorgeous home is exactly that. We came to Detroit for a short weekend getaway & to visit the Henry Ford Museum. We booked this house because of the photos, & the ratings.We were so happy with this house. Sharon is so amazing & easy to work with. She gave easy instructions for checking in & out, & she was super responsive if I asked her any questions. The photos look amazing, but the house is even more amazing in person. Extremely clean like even under the beds & baseboards clean. The house not only extremely clean, but really comfortable & decorated beautifully. Everyroom is spacious, with beautiful art, she has thought of everything plugs & usb ports in every room, soap in all bathrooms, cozy little slippers for walking around the house, Detroit snacks, kitchen fully stocked for anything you may need to help make a meal, the beds & bedding were so cozy & we all slept great. She has things labeled, & organized for easy use. She has manuals for things just in case you need to know how to operate the coffee machine or other items. She has a lovely coffee bar set up for use. The basement was so much fun. Two different video games, & foosball was also a hit with my boys. She also had tons of board games family friendly, & some adult humor ones. The driveway & side walks were shoveled too. It was close to shops & restaurants everything about 15mins away. We felt safe in the house. We loved everything about this house my noys already want to go back. Thank you so much.

Great home for families!

We had a wonderful stay at Sharon’s place. The communication leading up to our stay and during our stay was great. We traveled with another couple and our children, kids were 2, 3, and 5, and we all had a wonderful time. The downstairs game room was a hit for all, and the backyard was great too. Close to downtown and other activities! I would stay here again.

Perfect for our needs

We stayed here during WSU graduation weekend and it felt so cozy. Check-in was easy and lights were on for us when we arrived. The home was decorated beautifully and equipped with snacks, drinks, cozy socks & slippers. Holiday decorations and Christmas mugs filled with goodies were appreciated and jolly. Sharon was very quick to respond when we had a couple questions. The teens loved the downstairs games, fireplace and large TV. The only thing that was different from previous reviews I read was that there was not a driveway gate to shut our cars into the backyard. There was plenty of driveway parking in the back and there was security lighting, so it was okay. This was a clean, lovely place to stay.

Great House!

This house is so nice! There’s plenty of games and activities if you want to have a rest day. All of our family loved the house, it is an old house and has many furniture pieces to fit the houses aesthetic. The property owner is very sweet and checked in multiple times to make sure we were okay and had everything we needed. There’s a nice little backyard the kids loved running in. The claw foot tub was one of my favorite things about the house! Overall, amazing experience and we’re very happy we booked this house!

Business trip felt like a getaway

A place I’d definitely go back just to stay and enjoy the space…. And why not take a bunch of pictures. My business partners and I went for a company convention and we’re not able to enjoy the space to the fullest as we were in and out all day. It felt like coming back home. The neighbors were nice and greeted us. Felt safe. House was very clean and provided everything!!!! Including snacks and socks to take. Checking in and out was very easy and host was always available.

Better than the pictures!

My friends and I stayed here for a bachelorette party weekend and we were LOVING the adorable interior and exterior! Sharon truly did a great job making this home incredibly inviting and fun. The backyard was much bigger than it shows and we enjoyed the bonfire pit at night. The house is stocked with all the essentials you need! Sharon was also amazing with answering all of our questions fully and quickly. We felt incredibly safe in the area, especially with the smart locks on the doors and the fact that you could close the gate to the driveway. Would 100% recommended staying here!
