"If you are visiting Dover Plains or attending a wedding or other event at Preston Barn this is a great place to stay as it is only 1.5 miles down the road from Preston Barn/Old Dover Inn. The house was very clean and sits on a pretty small river where the bird watching is awesome. We enjoyed the deck and bird watching (including a young eagle and blue heron), pool sitting and playing bocce on the lawn. Having a bathroom for each bedroom was very nice and the bedrooms and bathrooms were a nice...

"The house is stunning and was one of only 2 hours on a lake. We got perfect foliage for this time of year. Bit of a bummer that the owner did not respond for 24 hours when we reached out about trash bags for the house and we eventually went and bought our own. Owner also attempting to charge us for repair on a chair that was broken when we got there"
