"A great apartment overlooking the water and sunset and very handy to have a washing machine/dryer even though it took hours to complete a cycle. We enjoyed cooking. We loved exploring Russell and surroundings so worth taking the car ferry from Opua (3km away) We were disappointed to discover the winery on way to Russell was closed even though advice was it was open on Wednesdays. Keri Keri is also worth a visit and a short drive north. Piahia though was the perfect place to stay."

"The hotelier at reception placed us in a really stunning 2 bedroom apartment. It was up on the top floor, completely exposed to the sparkling waters of the beach directly across the road. The front of the apartment had large bi-fold doors which opened completely out to the roomy sunny balcony. We could see the Waitangi grounds while sitting relaxing with a glass of bubbly. "I got bed bugs from this place. After waking up after the first day I noticed red bumps on my feet and ankles. I thought maybe it was from a reaction from somewhere else. Put lotion on and they started to go away. Then after the second night, I woke up with far worse bites. When pulling back the sheets I then discovered black dots all along the foot of the bed in the sheets and red like little bugs. I tried to talk to the cleaning person that morning about this and she was dismissive of my...

"We had the most beautiful stay here with our family of 9. we needed two of the rooms which slept 5 per room. The rooms were next to eachother and when we arrived the lovely host said they had moved the bbqs back so we could easily get to each room via the balcony instead of going out around the front. This was super helpful. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms were as well. Has all the basics you need for cooking, mini fridge, toaster, microwave and jug etc. tv in one room had sky, the...

"Needed a relaxing home base for exploring the Northland area and Abri Apartments was a great choice. Our hosts were very welcoming and the accommodation was extremely clean and updated. Nice kitchen. Spectacular views from the living room and bedroom. Comfortable lazyboy type sofas. Commercial quality laundry and dryer which dried quickly. Great value. Would return. Highly recommend"

A couple of gifts were left in the fridge upon our arrival, nice surprise! Night life activities not far away. Nice and private accommodations. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Gas station, grocery store just around the corner. Would definitely book here again. Highly recommended. A happy Canadian!"
