"We had an incredible stay at this cottage in Mars Hill. The property is absolutely stunning, with 70 private acres of rolling hills, mountain views, peaceful streams, and plenty of space to explore. It was the perfect place to relax and disconnect. One of the highlights was spending time with the friendly and quant downtown area about 10 mins away from the property, which made the experience even more memorable. "It was the perfect size for a getaway! There were 2 of us staying in the cabin which was perfect, could easily have had 2 others and not felt crowded. The bathroom was very nice, the floor would get slippery after showers but nothing insane. There were plenty of utensils and cookware in the kitchen to where we cooked pretty much every meal there without an issue. Everything was very easy to use and figure out and the property was gorgeous. From the cabin there is very easy access to the...

"What an absolute gem of a property! Joe is a spectacular host and this is a beautiful place. 10 out of 10 would recommend! We booked at the last minute for an impromptu 2-night stay over the July 4, 2026 weekend (2 adults and a dog). Joe immediately reached out to let us know that our stay would coincide with a huge Independence Day celebration at Twin Willows, in case this wasn’t the vibe we were hoping for. I appreciated the consideration and heads-up. We arrived in the middle of the party,...

"Our stay at the cabin was a nice long weekend getaway central to Asheville, NC and the Great Smoky mountains, and white water rafting in Marshall, NC. We made day trips to each location and the cabin was in a beautiful remote and relaxing spot. The hosts were great, and even spent time with my son feeding the animals on their farm. They also have a working nursery, so we enjoyed getting to peruse the greenhouses. The only downside was the cabin had a little funky smell, but it's an old house and...

"I cannot recommend this property enough. The cabin and its location far exceeded my expectations. The cabin was very spacious with many added amenities (pool table, video games, hot tub, etc). The view of the mountains was absolutely incredible. Every morning we were able to see local wildlife (deer, turkey, woodchuck). The property owner was incredibly helpful and always replied within minutes. 10/10, I would stay here again!"
