"I've stayed in alot of hotels and motels over the years working construction. This hotel was horrible, extremely dirty, just gross place. Definitely not worth the 100.00 dollars just because it's by a lake. Just avoid this place. Very dirty."

"Other than the fact half the place smelled like for all the weed smokers that were there it was good."

"Convenient location to downtown, uniquely decorated rooms, and excellent breakfast."

"Upon arrival, the owner was standing at the main lobby desk, alongside another employee. He has zero customer service skills. Acknowledge every guest as they enter and show eye contact, add a smile! The property is very dated. My room stunk - a simple air freshener powder on the carpet before vacuuming could go a long ways. I had to crank the a/c in late October to help with the smell. It’s an ideal location and the ladies at front desk were very kind. Breakfast - forget about it. A one bed...

"The staff was extremely helpful. The room had to use a heater. Need to update the rooms and Tv limited channel no CW to watch the Saturday race when no live tickets available."

"NICE PLACE"

"This is a gorgeous property right on the Blue Ridge Parkway, the owners were great and very friendly. The room was large and clean, my wife and I loved our time we spent here. We celebrated my wife’s birthday while there and Jenny helped with a cake and balloons in the room when we arrived. We will be going back soon."

"Loved Max and Cherub the restaurant. Friendliest and most welcoming folks. Great motel!"

"This place was awful! I reserved a room through hotels.com and when I went to check in, the rude guy at the front desk said they do not use online reservations and refused to let me check in. I showed him the confirmation email and he still said they do not use online reservations. I had to find another hotel to stay at and I had already been charged for this one. Luckily the hotel next door (Rocky Mount Inn) was very nice and the front desk clerk was super helpful."

"We loved the tiny cabin! Great communication with our host and plenty of amenities for a weekend trip to the mountains."

"We had a fantastic family stay at Bernard’s Landing. The condo was clean, comfortable, quiet, and a great home base for exploring Smith Mountain Lake. The location was the biggest highlight. We enjoyed the private lakeside beach, pools, walking paths, waterfront views, and beautiful sunsets without needing to drive everywhere. We rented a pontoon from The Dock at Smith Mountain Lake and spent a full day boating, tubing, swimming, and relaxing on the water. We also visited Smith Mountain Lake...

"It was overpriced for the low quality of the facility. I observed old stained carpet throughout the building (except for the lobby), stained sheets and bed coverings in my room. The carpet was peeling off the wall where it was serving as a baseboard covering. The room had not had the needed air freshener sprayed in it. There was not a hot breakfast awaiting us in the dining area. The door hinges, of the room next door to mine, needed some WD-40 to stop the loud squeaking whenever it was...

"The place is pristine. We only stayed one night because we were visiting a client in the area and needed to come back. But the place invites you to stay longer. The condo has everything we need. They even had 7 different types of coffee. The view is amazing, and we even cooked. The kitchen is well equipped. The bedroom is spacious, and the bed is super comfortable. We would love to stay longer."

"Was not told lake water was so low. Bed and sofa are worm out and need replacing. Very uncomfortable for senior citizens. Wind gusts came and ripped and knocked over outside table umbrella. That needs replacing as well. Other amenities were good. Lots of cook ware and towels."

"I enjoyed our stay very much. The entire condo was extremely clean and well kept. Beautiful lake view from the balcony. The host had great communication since I first booked till I checked out. I’m very glad I booked this condo."
