"This place was horrible!!!! The staff were helpful, or at least tried to be. Management was not! We stayed here 3 nights despite all of the issues. No vent in the bathroom, broken phone, shower didn't work right, loud guests, hallway smelled like Marijuana, wet, stained carpeting, broken luggage movers. Paid for a king room, transferred to a full room, no desk, no microwave, no coffee pot, low bed. Cold food which should have been hot, pool closed over half our stay, broken hot tub, had to...

"Good location, clean and updated rooms. Geographically close to Bates."

"We had a quick one night stay in the area. The hotel and rooms were clean, although dated and a little tired. It was totally perfect for what we needed. Breakfast was very good with several options. Beds were comfortable, and everything worked well in the bathroom. Despite odd location, it was quiet. Nice to have a gas and Dunkin so close. We would stay here again if in the area."

"We put our son up for the night because there was a fire in his apartment building and we live out of the country. He said the room was great! My only concern was that they needed cc on file and he doesn’t have one, they wouldn’t take mine over the phone. Anyway we were able to use his PayPal account, thankfully!"

"Nice view of golf course, but couldn't go on porch... too many flies on sliding glass doors! First room had Hornet nest on bedroom wall inside; 2nd room locked out, battery low on keypad that no one knew how to replace!! Had to leave... manager rarely available to talk to about problems. 2 months later finally got an answer & credit. Terrible experience!"

"clean room: yes, odd smell upon entering the room, the walk-in bathroom setup was very helpful, including the shower chairs, bars, etc. the bed was comfortable though the tall height of the bed made it difficult to get in bed comfortably/easily. the staff: the man who checked me in was helpful, the woman in the morning did not understand me when I asked to add another night; and called several times to try to understand what I wanted. Parking: the parking lot was ok; but getting into the...

"Beautiful setting. Corner room with lake sunset views. Nice property for strolling and lounging in Adirondack chairs overlooking the water. Nice breakfast and restaurant with a well equipped bar."

"Never got to stay there..Had reservations for over 2 months, went to check in and is now dorm rooms.. No notice. Place Sucks!!"

"Well cared for Victorian Inn. Very comfortable rooms, each with a slightly Bohemian flair to the antique furnishings. Off street parking, close to amenities. Host was fabulous- friendly, knowledgeable and very responsive. Will return"

"Last minute stay, great experience. Loved the employee of the year!"

"Staying at this cozy little getaway was the perfect ending to a 10-day vacation (spent my last two nights there). I chose it because it was very close to downtown Freeport and I was there for the Freeport Fall Festival weekend. It is adorable. I highly recommend staying here if what you're looking for is a quiet place away from all the hustle and bustle, and yet very close to Freeport and other areas. I would stay there again."

"This has been one of my best vacation stays! The location is perfect and the property is incredibly cute! Amenity filled home with lots of space. If you are traveling with dogs or small children (we were not, we have TWO teenaged girls!), this is the perfect place! There are so many areas to spread out and not feel crowded. Our travel day started at 2 am so the sunroom was the perfect spot to nap upon arrival. All four of us enjoyed the cozy sectional with the breeze from the table fan and...

"Hosts were extremely responsive to our needs. Highly recommend!"

"We had a wonderful weekend in Maine! My son competed in an Ironman so our family and some of his friends spent 3 nights at this wonderful hideaway! It was very clean and offered everything we needed for a comfortable stay and to cook & grill many meals - hungry teens!! They had the best time playing outdoor games, enjoying the water and chatting by the fire pit at night overlooking the lake. Golf courses very close by. The host were extremely accommodating and friendly offering their paddle...
