"This house is located far enough away to not be in the downtown city. The nights and mornings were quiet. Yet close enough to get to the volcano and the beach. (Note everything takes an hour or more to get to) The family enjoyed the stay. The house layout is excellent. The refrigerator, oven, stove are excellent. Important if you like to cook like we do. The gym was good. The only draw back, the pool was cold for some. I thought it was just fine but others thought it could be Heated. All in all,...

Yes the photos that are posted are beautiful but they don’t come close to showing you how truly magnificent her property and the land around it is. We plan to go back later this year again and stay. I could have stood on that balcony all day looking out into that valley below."

"Great stay- after our possessions were robbed from our truck in a bonded storage facility (el coco almacen fiscal- beware) we stayed in this hotel which was lovely. Breezy night, lots of great plant life and a few birds, and a nice overall vibe. The manager was very kind and made us feel welcome. Great breakfast, which was included in the cost."

"The experience was wonderful. The shuttle driver was waiting at the designated area with a sign identified as Barcelo. Check-in was smooth, all staff interaction was courteous, room was very clean and the breakfast was more than I expected. It was well done. I will be back again."

Part of that is our ignorance yet as guests we would think it woulb be helpful if you provided a map of the area around you and were to go on foot or by vehicle. "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Costa Rica Marriott Hotel Hacienda Belen. Even though we arrived after the shuttle stopped running, the hotel proactively arranged a car for us. A huge plus: the coffee shop is open 24 hours, which was perfect for grabbing a late-night bite after 11 PM. The rooms were are clean and comfortable, as expected from the Marriott brand.
