"Great location to the conference I was attending"

" I wanted to share a review of the wonderful experience I had during my stay last night. As someone who works in hospitality, I’d say I’m probably fussier than most and Parkgate certainly had a strong reputation to live up to - but it absolutely delivered. Every member of staff I encountered was polite, friendly, approachable, and incredibly attentive. From the doorman to reception, the waiting staff in The Sorting Room and cocktail bar, as well as room service and the spa team - everyone...

"From the minite we arrived we found the staff to be ftiendly, polite and helpful. On site car parking available. Rooms are excrllent. Ours had a lovely balcony view over bay. Food at breakfast was very good with excellent hot and cold choices. We tried the sauna and hot yub on 2 days before brekfast and found them really relaxing. I would highly recommend this hotel. We will be retutning."

"Very disappointed with the parking, we were charged an additional £20+ just to park our car, after already paying in full for the room. Furthermore, we had a room with a “double bed” which was as many hotels have, two single beds put together. This was not done well and we found a huge gap in the middle of both beds throughout the night, causing us to push the beds back together only for it to happen 2 hours later in the night. Disappointment based on the quality of the rooms and the hotel...

"Clean room, bathroom was a bit dated but totally functional. The sauna and steam room were great. Bed was comfy. Onsite restaurant menus are not up to date online."

"Very noisy private function made it impossible to sleep - had to change rooms at midnight. Horrible experience - would never return. Was promised a refund and will be pursuing this. "

"Great hotel, staff were fab especially lady on reception late on Easter Sunday Eve who was very helpful with parking issues for me & my daughters. We were very grateful. Restaurant staff very helpful too. Great value for money "

"All the breakfast items was cold the room was clean but small and dated bed was solid as a rock think the 3pm check in is abit late surely they can get room done by 1pm definitely wont rush to say there again most probably use premier inn instead "

"Do not stay here. Horrible bodily odour smell in reception and lifts. Lobby area and rooms do not look anything like the photos on the site. The TV didn’t work, no bedside tables.. no lamps, no waste bin. Bed uncomfortable. HORRIBLE. Area around not great lots of unusual characters Take my advice and choose another hotel. As a solo traveller too I didn’t feel safe."
