However, if you’re visiting between Memorial Day and Labor Day we invite you to use the free, air-conditioned, beach shuttle service. Simply call to be picked up and dropped off at your doorstep. 


If paradise by the pool is more your thing then step out the front door of Second Wind and immerse yourself in the luxurious resort style pool. The heated pool features zero-entry access, rock waterfalls, hot tub, tiki hut bar and plenty of lounging areas nestled in a lush, tropical landscaped setting. It also has surround sound, and a flat screen TV. 


Second Wind puts you in the heart of Destin which features world class fishing, exquisite dining options and superb shopping. You're in walking distance to the award-winning Destin Commons, a leading open-air lifestyle center. Destin Commons offers more than 75 stores and restaurants, movie theater, bowling and an interactive pop fountain. There's something for everyone. 


Second Wind is an inviting, well appointed and clean 6 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom home with 2 king beds, 3 queens, and 1 bunkbed which sleeps 4. Additional sleeping is provided with two queen sleeper sofas. The gorgeous living areas provide ample space for everyone to spread out. The second floor den even features a wet bar and an icemaker. The kitchen is fully stocked and the outdoor grill is ready for your catch of the day or desired steak. In the event that you want to stay connected, Second Wind offers high speed wifi internet, flat screen televisions in all bedrooms and living areas, and high definition cable with all of your favorite premiere channels. For your convenience, hair dryers can be found in each bathroom.

Great house and friendly host

The house and host were great! Great communication from the host and very friendly! My group tried to rent a golf cart to get to the beach, and found out 2 days into our stay that we weren’t allowed to have it in the neighborhood. Host was very professional and friendly in reporting this matter. We actually read it on the rules for check-in but misunderstood. We thought they meant we couldn’t park the golf cart on the street. Nope! No golf cart at all- even though it’s a mile to the beach! Very silly, but no fault to the owner. It’s HOA rules. Luckily we got a refund on our golf cart. HOA allows owners to use golf carts, but not guests/renters. Just something to be aware of! We did not use the beach shuttle, as it only ran from 10-4 I believe and there was only 1 for the whole neighborhood. Shuttle drop off however is at a very small sardine space of a public beach. You’re best bet is to go down the street past private beach hotel property to a bigger public beach access with free parking! Overall though house was great and worth the money! We even bought an extra night! Host even left us some dishwasher pods and trash bags which I thought was nice!

Very happy with stay

We loved staying in this home, we had plenty of room for 11 people. It’s a great location, the shuttle service to the beach was perfect! It’s close to all of our favorite restaurants. The pool out the front door was awesome. And Austin’s was an excellent host! Quick to communicate, even ordered a new vacuum when the one in the house wasn’t picking up all our sand. Our only complaint would not be related to the house at all. The no balls in the pool rule really upset my husband and son who love playing ball in the pool. Frustrating when other rules weren’t enforced but that was very strongly enforced all week.

Family getaway along the Emerald Coast

Check in was a breeze. We arrived on a Saturday and immediately unloaded our vehicles, changed into our swim suits and walked across the road to the amazing pool. Beach is only ½ mile away but the shuttle service (shoutout to Paula!!) was easy to use and timely. Bedrooms are spacious, and common areas have room and seating to accommodate larger families (12 people). AC worked (maybe a little too well, it's COLD when you come back inside after being wet from the pool!). Hosts were easy to communicate with, answered our questions promptly and offered us tips for the surrounding areas!

Great neighborhood with amazing property managers!

I took my daughter and her friends for their graduation trip. The hosts were very responsive when i had any questions or comments. I have zero complaints. The neighborhood was very nice and very well maintained. The beach shuttle is very convenient and accommodating and Mrs Paula, the driver, was amazing and so nice! We had a fantastic time! I would definitely recommend this location to family and friends.

Summer Vacation

Beautiful property! Comfortably slept 14 of us and had plenty of space for activities. Shuttle to the beach was very convenient, and the location of the property was near all necessities within the city. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing Host, Great Location

Communication was excellent the host Austin made sure everything was perfect before we arrived and when we checked out to make sure the next guest receive the same experience.The Townhouse was directly across from the pool area which was convenient with a huge family. Wish I could give more stars

The trash was full the furniture was old and uncomfortable. the place needs to be updated did not look like it looked online. was way overpriced for what you got and the sevive charges were too much for what you got.

Great place to stay!

My family and friends and I stayed for the weekend of 4/26-4/28. The house was very clean. It felt like we were home! It had everything we needed and there was no problems or issues with anything. The host is very friendly and kind! When we first got there the passcode wouldn’t let us in but as soon as I called him he answered and fixed it! We will be using this house again for future trips to Destin!

Golden girls from ohio

Our second time staying at this property. It is a beautiful area and pool is amazing. Our trips to near-by beach were easier with use of property shuttle. Many special near-by restaurants with good food made a great trip. Our property owner was very accommodating when we had issues.
