We're within walking distance of shopping and restaurants and only a block or two away from the Big Kahuna's, Destin's fun waterpark. Walk only 300 feet to the beach. No streets to cross to get to the private beach or the heated pool. From the open balcony, you'll experience the sites and sounds of the ocean, watch a sunrise or sunset over the water or the sailboats and fishing boats go by.  Less than a mile from Mellow Mushroom and Another Broken Egg Cafe and a short drive to the Harborfront, with boat and jet ski rentals plus more great restaurants!

Close by is Destin Commons, a beautifully landscaped, pedestrian-friendly area and a great family venue where children will love to play in the interactive water fountains. Also for the younger guests, a nautically/pirate themed outdoor playground features a 1,750 square foot soft play area with various creatures from the sea, slides, and a treasure chest!  Destin Commons also has a mini-train for the kids. Destin Commons features over 75 shops and restaurants, including Godiva Chocolates, AMC Movie Theaters and Bass Pro Shop.

It was a great vacation! The thing that would make it better is placing blinds or curtain in the living space, larger trash cans in bathrooms, quick check on amenities (frig, stove, shower) before rental, and brighter lights through out rental. Other than that we had an amazing stay. Also Marie was fabulous, she was on top of everything.

Amazing!

The condo we stayed in was just like the listing. It was clean and very updated. It had everything we needed for a week away from home. Full kitchen and washer & dryer in our unit was a plus. We stayed in tower 3 with only a short walk to the beach. Food & shopping within walking distance. We were very pleased with our unit and the process booking through RealJoy.

The condo was located in a good location in relation to walking distance and parking. However the “view” was overlooking the parking lot with only a glimpse iof the gulf from a distance between Towers 1 and 2 barely visible. Wish we had chosen a tower with a balcony… we could only see cars, equipment and the tennis courts…. the living quarters w decorated nicely however we were delayed in getting into our room because there were no drapes in the bed rooms and all of the wall outlets on one side of the condo were blown. An electrician came to fix those (although 2 more shot during our stay!) and new drapes were hung. The tub in the main bathroom was ckean at first glance but when sitting down the MOLD under the edge of the tubs wall panels was AWFUL. That needs to be wiped underneath as well as diwn when ckeaning.

NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE

This condo was ABSOLUTELY unfit for anyone to stay in. It was advertised as beach front- we were the back building with a view of the tennis courts and parking lot. The patio/deck has been enclosed by glass with no air flow so it’s basically like sitting under a magnifying glass in the sun! All 3 bedrooms have HUGE open widows- NO CURTAINS on any of them so no privacy at all! Everyone can see straight in from the park lot. Bathroom floors were disgusting, none of the televisions worked throughout (all cables and hookup equipment were in drawers in the rooms), master tv was sitting on the floor, not even hooked up or mounted to the wall, with a broken screen! Multiple outlets and smoke alarms not covered with wires hanging out of the sockets. Patchwork carpet throughout the bedroom. Decorative artwork for the walls just laying around on the floors or leaned against a wall. Ice maker and water in fridge not working, only 2 burners in the stove would work, microwave didn’t work. Multiple plugs and outlets throughout had no power to them. The owners of this unit- SHAME ON YOU. This place is not even close to fit for stay, let alone to book for a vacation. The pictures posted were most definitely NOT an appropriate depiction of this rental property!

Family Get Away

Our stay was enjoyable. The rental was ok, could use a little maintenance, but nothing unmanageable. Had a small issue but it was taken care of by management. Management was accessible and kept in communication with us. Beach was beautiful and we enjoyed ourselves.

Great location, but place needs some work.

First of all, I generally leave very positive reviews if at all possible. We have stayed in dozens of rentals in this are and never really had anything major to complain about before. Unfortunately, the overall experience here was not great. Upon arriving we realized the entire complex was under MAJOR renovation. I don't mean a few workers here and there, I'm talking 1/2 the parking lot was full of construction equipment and shipping containers. The dust from the daily hammering was relentless and made a mess of the place. We realize this is necessary, but were completely unaware of this going in. I would never have booked this place knowing ahead of time how heavy the construction was (in all 3 buildings) As far as the actual unit goes: - Both bathroom showers were completely clogged and not draining. (Notified management and it was fixed same day) - No oven mitts (went and bough our own) - Only 2 burners were working on stove (fixed same day as well) - Kitchen furnishings were pretty much bare minimum. 1 dish towel.. things like that. - Sign on fridge that ice maker was out of order. Would expect this to be fixed before arrival. Very strange. - Unit was in rough shape overall. Tons of paint chips literally everywhere, missing/broken pieces of trim. Attempts to fix/caulk some were pretty ugly. - Both bathrooms are in MAJOR need of complete overhaul. Old small tile flooring with dirty grout. Master bath is tiny old school. - Lighting in entire unit is really bad. Especially bedrooms. insufficient lighting to really see what you are doing. Hallway not much better. - Not a single clock in any bedroom. Basically your phone is the only way to tell the time. The positives were the location of complex, perfect for pretty much everything. Restaurants close by and the beach was beautiful. Unit was very roomy.

I will never stay here again!

I will never stay here again. We did not enjoy our experience. The condo floors were disgusting. Literally walking around with socks on and your socks will be black. We kept our shoes on the entire time because we were uncomfortable. This place needs a deep cleaning. The carpets and rugs were dirty. The condo smelled badly, like smoke. And, to top it off, the construction work awaken us every morning with jackhammering that was so loud that you couldn’t hear anyone talk or talk over it. It went on to about 5pm everyday so you were forced to get up everyday and leave the place. When I called to complain and asked to be moved to another property and was told No, because a disclaimer stated that there would be construction. I did not see this disclaimer when I booked and I have doubts the disclaimer was listed when I booked it, but when I went to read it on the website, it did not say the jackhammering would be unbearable. Nor did it state, that it was extremely dangerous. As we were walking outside, debris was falling down from the building. It almost hit us. A construction worker with a hard hat on apologized to us. I was so disappointed and can’t believe I paid money to stay here. It was dangerous and they should not be renting this place out.

Not clean at all

This property could have been good but there were too many issues. This property was worth not cleaned before we got there or the cleaning crew needs to do better. There were roaches in the property, food on the floors and “clean utensils”, used socks between the couch cushions, the master bathroom shower is nasty, replace the shower curtain. Most properties have some supplies for the price, no trash bags, toilet paper, paper towels etc. The thermostat has to stay at 70 which would be ok except the master bedroom has no airflow nor does the fan go past slow. The dust in this place is crazy, master bed has probably not been clean for a few months. The pictures make it look like it’s new and has beach views. The tower is the furthest from the beach, the only view you have is the construction and trailers. Also wasn’t mentioned the towers were under renovations! Ice dispenser didn’t work, hot water was intermittent in the kitchen for some reason. Master bathroom vent doesn’t work. The list goes on. This property is in need of a deep clean and renovation itself. Not worth the money, better priced condos down the street.

The good: Location Size of unit Fairly recent remodel/deco/furniture Enclosed deck/sunroom No problems with check in/access/mgr Nice pool and beach access The bad: Bathrooms need attention/deep cleaning Broken microwave handle Dusty light fixtures/lamps/ etc NOISY beds in double room Active renovations ongoing Broom but no dust pan provided Clothes dryer requires 3 full cycles to dry Minimal kitchenware Ice maker out of order The ugly: Blood stained duvet in master BR Several roaches in kitchen Worm like bug on stove This whole complex is under renovation and will probably be much more attractive and appealing when complete. The location couldn’t get much better. The beach access is great and beach service is provided. We had two toddlers and being on a low level with an enclosed sunroom rather than a high open balcony was very reassuring. With some additional attention to detail and deep cleaning, this unit has plenty of potential. We are used to pristine and sparkling clean with our prior beach condo rentals, so were a little disappointed. It was by no means horrible, so we made it work and had a good stay despite the stormy weather. To be fair, we did not make any complaints to the property manager (RealJoy) so they had no opportunity to help with any of our concerns in real time. We just don’t want to be “those people”, but I hope this review helps them to improve and realize the full potential of the property.

Horrible experience

This was genuinely the worst vacation experience we have ever had. The unit was infested with cockroaches, the shower and other areas were moldy, it had a horrible smell upon arrival, there was dust and grime on every single fixture, and it was 80° in the unit. We called to express our concerns and they did move us to a new room, but having to transfer all of our belongings that had just been unpacked including groceries, in the middle of the night was not how we wanted to spend our first night of vacation. They offered us $100 gift card for our troubles but it was never brought to us. Additionally, there was so much loud construction going on that we were not made aware of. It was so loud even on the beach due to construction. At one point, we exited our room and had to walk through a waterfall coming down the side of the building from construction and we’re even without running water for a few hours. Overall, this was a horrible experience and I cannot believe how much we paid for this unit with all of the issues and inconveniences we experiences.

Horrible experience

Tennis court and pool was nice. The rental was filthy, dust everywhere, dirty dishes left behind, and fans were covered in filth. There was black mold and feces droppings throughout. The beds were broken. After a day of waiting, we had transfer to another location which wasted about vacation time for a half a day. There were workers at 7:30am working beneath us. The sound was so loud we couldn’t talk on the phone or even think. It was unbearable. It was never disclosed, so BEWARE!

Cozy and beautiful

We stayed 3 nights and it was great! Everything was perfect. The cleaning lady came 3x starting 2 hours early which was a bit annoying because it’s already hard to pack a family to depart by 10 Am. I kept having to recheck if I’d left anything and even got in the car to leave and had to run back in because I wasn’t 100% I got everything. At least I know they clean though!

Great for multi generational family

Three generations of family, we fit nicely into space, 6 adults and 2 children. Property has security, nice. Beach very close, walk over bridge. Awesome and clean. Location to great food nearby. Wonderful vacation.

Friends Getaway

Easy check in, good location to walk to restaurants, Target and Winn Dixie for all your needs. Easy, short walk to the beach. The unit needs some TLC, but in all fairness, it is the end of the peak season. The biggest disappointment was arriving to a filthy unit.
