It’s located with one of the par 3 golf course holes off the enormous back deck and steps away from the swimming pool. From the owner to the staff at Sandpiper Cove, FIRST CLASS!!!

The back door lock was broken and for some reason when I filled the tub to bath my daughter the water was full of black specks which I believe came off the plug. Other than that no other issues.

So it was too late to make other arrangements. Business office clueless. No DVD in the unit. Website FAQ states that “all units are equipped with a DVD player.” Called business office- again clueless. Stated that “DVD players are specialty item and that’s an owner’s decision.” If true, revise the Sandpiper website. Emailed owner - NO response.

The only complaint I have is that the sleeper sofa was not really an option because of the springs in my back. No way adults can sleep on that. We bought a blowup instead.

We really like having access to the beach side by vehicle so we don't have to carry all of our beach gear. The two baths were nice as well as having a washer and dryer. We had a great stay!

The dishwasher quit working midweek and was not fixed when we left on Sunday. The couch is dated sand very uncomfortable. The kitchen could be better equipped for cooking (breakfast). Our unit was clean and roomy and fully equipped. My husband and son love the golf course and the dining in the area is top notch. We will continue to stay at Sandpiper Cove whenever we travel to Destin.

Reviewer Comments: Overall vacation condo was in decent shape, although picture showed full and twin size bed in one room, only had full size bed and couch, no twin bed. Dryer would only run for 5 to 10 minutes, then would have to restart dryer. Some electrical outlets throughout the condo would have only one or none of the plug-ins work. The master bedroom bathroom lights would occasionally break the circuit and go out, would have to reset the light switch breaker to work. Porch sliding door needs to be fixed, had to use plastic pvc pipe to lock door. Overall condo was a pleasant stay, just need to fixe minor problems and maybe upgrade interior

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall we had a great experience booking the trip and enjoyed our stay. I was able to call Sandpiper Cove directly to book our Condo. The person who assisted me was pleasant and helpful and we were able to secure our condo months in advance.Upon arrival at first glance our condo was nice, however NOT the one that we discussed booking with the agent. We were suppose to get a two bedroom Condo which had a King then a full size and twin. However, our condo had a king, queen and pull out sofa. When I called management to complain they took my information but NOBODY got back to me. It would have been nice to have been compensated in some way or even just gotten an apology for the error.We came to Destin for a baseball tournament and REALLY enjoyed the area. It was nice to be in close proximity of many stores and restaurants. The extra bonus was the private beach and restaurant.A few things I would change is being on the top floor verses the bottom floor. You can hear EVERYTHING. It was hard to sleep hearing doors open and closes and people walking at all times of the night. In terms of this particular unit the balcony was large, but not clean. The refrigerator stuck periodically. The dryer cut off frequently after 20 minutes. AND, I found a MOUND of hair in our bathroom tub drain due to the water building up. The room was cleaned on the surface but they should do a better job of doing a deep clean periodically. A positive of this unit is being extremely close to the dumpsters.I would recommend this property to renters and suggest that they carefully review what they have secured in the event of a mix up.

Beach vacation

The property was great! The beach was amazing and the private access was good. The property had lots of good amenities. The only issue was the people upstairs were loud and noisy. But, overall, it was a great experience. Good location to stores and restaurants.
