Perfect Getaway

Spring Break Girls trip was amazing - Beach is 3-4 minutes walking distance - I have stayed at several condos at the Chateau Le Mer and never been disappointed- the condo was perfect size for me and my girls - definitely will be visiting again

Great Option for Families

We had a great time in Destin. The house and rooms were very spacious. The property was close to the beach, with private beach access, and all of the shops and food nearby. Rooms had clean sheets on arrival, with LOTS of towels available. I would suggest anyone bring house slippers or flip flops, as the floors are a bit dusty. I’m not saying it wasn’t cleaned when we arrived, just that all the sand somehow gets dragged in each time. We heard from others the same thing, so do yourself a favour and bring slippers! Thank you for hosting our family!

I would be embarrassed to own this property and rent it to vacationers. Property was dirty, no lighting other than lamps. Kitchen was poorly stocked and cabinets were about to fall in on themselves. For the money you spend, you will be disappointed.

Needs cleaning

The apartment we stayed in was not what i booked, found out the same day that owners were there, about 5 hours prior to arrival🤷‍♀️. The apartment smelled, there was dog hair everywhere, floor was not cleaned in a long time. You could do better for what you charge!!!

Family Break

So we had recently lost our home due to a fire and we needed a getaway. This was the perfect option for us, I had only one problem when we got there it was late and we had on socks, the next morning after our showers when walking around the floor was black, the bottoms of our feet were so black I thought I was never going to get it off. Unfortunately I hadn't noticed it in time to let the owner know and have the cleaning service come and fix this.

Sadly We're Disappointed

Overall disappointed as this was a girls trip where we planned to stay in the unit and fellowship. Our unit and this property is in dire need of renovations and upgrades. Malfunctioning electric outlets, dripping faucets, dated and dirty furnishings, ripped, very low water pressure, ripped and dirty outside carpet needs disposal. Property description misleads you to believe that there's a washer/dryer in unit and complimentary beach service but there is not. Thankfully there was a ski rope tied across the balcony so at least we had somewhere to hang clothes to dry. All beds in the unit are uncomfortable and squeak everytime you move. The complex is across street from the beach and a fairly decent walk when carrying back beach chairs etc. Swimming pool is 8' which I liked. The bottom of the pool is stained and dirty and needs a good cleaning and painting. We didn't get in it but has ample seating for the guests. It was a great success for manual.

Renting was easy.communication with renter was good and quick. The condo is dated needs some upgrades the furniture on balcony definitely needs replacing the floor was not clean at all the vents for the air filter had not been cleaned in a year it appeared ..water stands in the tub when you are showering in master bath

Great, quiet place near the beach!

Pros: The condo was everything we needed for our girls' trip! The neighborhood was quiet. It is walking distance to a private beach entrance. The pool was steps from the room. Check in and checkout was a breeze! We would definitely stay here again! Cons: Seemed like we couldn't get the floors clean. We had to wear socks or shoes while walking around the condo. Also, the cookware needs to be updated.

Good location, needs some issues addressed

We loved the location of the building, the price of our stay, and the openness of the floor plan. We had plenty of space for our family of 6. The pool was clean and the beach was roped off for the private beach. The only issues that need to be addressed are the balcony needs to be more secure and better cleaning. The wooden slats on the private balcony were not attached anymore which poses a huge safety hazard for children. We called for maintenance but they never came. Other than that the only other issue was a cleaning issue throughout. There was black stuff on the walls in the tub so the cleaning service came back out to clean it, there was hair from a man shaving on the sink still, black stuff on the windows, and the cabinets in the bathrooms and kitchen were really beat up as well as all of the furniture. There was a nail sticking out of one of the decorations in the master bathroom. Half of the laundry machines didn’t work. Overall, we will not rent from this unit again.
