Beautiful 2-Bedroom Apartment right on the beach in this tranquil little bay

Attractive upstairs apartment, in beach-side house with communal patio, leading directly onto one of the quietest and most beautiful beaches on the West Coast, with excellent swimming and snorkelling in the crystal waters of the Caribbean. Comprising 2 air-conditioned bedrooms, one with en-suite bathroom, the other with en-suite shower room and washing machine. There is a well-equipped modern kitchen for the chefs among your party. The lovely light sitting room, with stunning views of the Caribbean and the beach, has a cooling breeze blowing through it for most of the year. In essence perfection.
The village shopping centre and supermarket are within easy reach on foot. There are several excellent restaurants nearby, including the world-renowned Cliff. We are 1.5 km away from Sandy Lane and its world-class golf facilities. Waters sports, fishing, and glass-bottomed boats are virtually on the doorstep - and, if requested, many will pick you up from the beach.. For those who don’t wish to hire a car the bus stop is nearby, and the buses run frequently up until 11.30 pm. The apartment has Wifi internet access and on site security.
Little Reef is well situated for multiple activities. From the very beautiful beach, a few short steps away, there is snorkelling on the reef, where you may spot one of the resident turtles, meandering among shoals of brightly coloured fish. Boating and water sport activities are also on offer from operators on the way to the big resorts past Sandy Lane. Fishermen bring their daily catch into Fitts Village, just in front of Jordan's Supermarket, a five-minute walk along the beach.
For those who don’t want to miss the exploits of their favourite team, Wendy’s sports bar is just a couple of minutes away, across the road. Wendy's also have a snack bar. Alternatively there’s the Surfside bar in Holetown (15 minutes away by bus and car), a great spot for being on the beach and watching the footie at the same time. Holetown is also the place to go to if you want a bank, pizza or the larger Massy’s supermarket, which will deliver your shopping if you don't have a car. Holetown also boasts plenty of watering holes and restaurants. Bridgetown and the South Coast are around twenty minutes by car and the buses run regularly.
If you just want to chill out Little Reef’s balcony is a great place for watching the frigate birds wheeling above, maybe a fisherman making a catch, and world go by – and, if you are up early and very, very, lucky you may get a glimpse of a monkey in the nearby shack-shack tree. If you want take a tan back home Little Reef has a lovely sunny patio, or you can take the extra few steps to the beach. At the end of the day there is often nothing better than a walk along the beach or just watching a beautiful sunset and the boats making for home, while you enjoy a sundowner.

No AC, lies, and misleading people

On arrival, the neighbor with keys arrived to let us in the unit and show us around. On entry, he said "the AC is broken."With temps in the 90s, this is not acceptable.I called the owner of the unit, who said the AC had just broken the day before. On viewing the AC unit, it was completely rusted over and it was obvious it had not been functioning for quite some time.We rebooked at a resort, and we were assured that a refund would be issued. It has not.

Best location on the island

The apartment is right on the sea and on the west side of the island. This is a prime location because unlike the southern coast that is more touristic it is not affected by sargassum. The water is crystal clear and a few yards from the beach you can find schools of colorful fish. Unfortunately the coral has died but snorkeling is still nice. There are also fishermen in the morning and you can buy fresh fish from them. There is a supermarket with basic necessities nearby and a couple of restaurants. As everywhere else on the island restaurant food prices are very steep. There is also a sports bar just walking distance from the apartment. Buses, including the one to the airport stop nearby and pass on the road behind the apartment. We found them to be convenient and reliable. The ride to Holetown where you can find a larger grocery store and many amenities is short. Halfway to Holetown there is also a fish market (with incredibly steep prices there, too). The ride to the airport is 1 hour but the bus had air conditioning and WiFi and for only Barbados 3.50/person. The only negatives are that the aforementioned road has heavy traffic whose loud noise competes with that of the waves, but at night you mostly hear the waves, which is beautiful. I’m a light sleeper and the traffic did not wake me up but it could be an issue for some. Another minus is that the apartment is a bit tired and in need of a nice coat of paint and some furniture care and maintenance.

Lovely tome at Little Reef

The location right on the beach is ideal. The place was clean and some essential groceries were in the fridge - much appreciated! Wear water shoes as the shore is rocky. I’ll miss the beautiful sound of the surf. The owner was very helpful and responsive. I’ll be back!

Great beachside flat

Amazing location in Fitts Village, one of the most convenient places to stay on the West coast for access to the rest of the island. Direct access to the beach and incredible views of the sunset.

Fantastic location

We loved falling asleep to the sound of the waves, snorkelling on the reef, and having the bustop a few metres away when we wanted to visit other parts of the island.

The View

I've stayed here a few times now with friends and the view always takes your breath away and really enjoy the area and the wonderful locals. This time however I was a little disappointed by the addition of the bikini bar for several reasons. One of the reasons I enjoyed staying here was how quiet and less busy the beach was. Now there are beach chairs lined up along the beach on busy days, large blow up water toys in the water that interfere with your beautiful view and extremely bright lights that shine onto the beach and into the apartment from dusk to dawn. It makes sitting around the table talking with your company very annoying with this light directly in your eyes. Hopefully something can be done about the evening lights, the toys and beach chairs I understand is part of the business atmosphere.

Rest & relaxation

We had 2 adult couples that stayed here and there was plenty of room, all the pictures you see are exactly what it looks like, this was so relaxing and we will definitely be back. We rented a car (glad we did) so we could come and go wherever we wanted, we traveled to the other side of the island and we went down to Carlisle Beach a few times, that is a super clean beach and great swimming. The waters just in front of our place was a bit rough while we were there but we did do some snorkeling there and it was nice, if you are there on a Friday night go to Oistins for the fish fry, you will get enough for two days food . We had almost perfect weather for just over our week stay. We will definitely be back.

Great view but apartment was just ok

The draw to this place is the gorgeous location right on the beach. Watching the waves with our coffees in the morning was great, and the sunsets were beautiful. The swimming was OK. While the beach itself is sandy, it's pretty rocky once you're in the water, and it's rocky getting in. But could be solved with water shoes. Also, a warning that the waves varied a lot each day, and we did not consider it safe to swim some of the time because of how strong the surf was. Someone drowned there on our last day. Just be cautious, maybe ask a local's opinion on conditions if you're unsure. Regarding the apartment itself, we didn't care for it. It was a bit rustic, not very well equipped, and had maintenance issues. The master shower wasn't draining hardly at all when we arrived, and they didn't come to address it for 3 days. By then, my husband had spent some time trying to deep clean their drain of sand and hair with an old coat hanger so we could shower. They didn't improve things any further than my husband had, and it continued to drain slow. We didn't want to use the 2nd bathroom because it smelled like mold. The master bed was uncomfortable - too hard, and was just 2 single beds pushed together so there was a gap in the middle. We wouldn't stay here again. Also be aware that you must buy everything, even toilet paper. The owner was very nice, but there seemed to be a disconnect between him and who handles the apartment locally (she was less nice).

Amazing location on the beach with stunning views. Owners were very helpful and quick to respond to any queries. Beds and furniture all very clean and comfortable. Good location with nearby supermarket, bus stops and bars.

Fun in the sun

Location was fantastic with the beach just steps away! It just needed a few things like a TV would've been nice and screens on the windows or a screen sliding door to the deck so you could let in the nice ocean breeze. Simply Stunning

We stayed at little reef in October 24, and arrived after dark. We were welcomed by grantley, who and handed the keys to a clean welcoming property. Next morning we woke at sunrise and opened the large windows and were presented with the view exactly as per Richard's pictures. The apartment has all the required accessories for a stay, plus the added bonus of snorkelling equipment, and a safety float. We spent our mornings and evenings on the beach outside the door, snorkeling in an abundance of sea life including turtles. A bar restaurant is available 2 doors away which serves cocktails and reasonably priced meals. Within fitts village are a couple of car hire companies which allowed us to explore from little reef. We were truly sad to leave the apartment at the end of our stay, and whilst at the all inclusive we stayed at afterwards, we decided that next year, it will be all Little Reef. Simply Stunning

Girls Getaway in Paradise

Beautiful apartment right on the beach, gorgeous sunsets and ocean views. Crystal clear water, restaurants and grocery stores easy walking distance away and public buses run regularly right outside the gate. A hidden little gem.

Little Reef

The property is in need of repairs very badly. There were roaches in the bathroom and kitchen. An AC unit would be a great addition in the Living room. It was hot so you have to leave the bedroom doors open to cool the appartment. The Iron work is rusted..... The unit need a complete refresh!

A Slice of Bajan Heaven

You could never get tired of going to bed to the sound of the waves and waking up and sipping coffee on the balcony with this stunning view. Great location with a walkable market and bar just steps away. Place is equipped with everything you need from blender to coolers and ice packs. Rooms are very spacious with own bathroom for each room. Lots of closet space. Hanging rack for wet clothes, sun loungers for the deck. Rooms have AC that works very well and can cool down the main area a bit if you leave bedroom doors open. We had everything we needed and more. Grantley (neighbor) was amazing and helpful. Richard was always quick to respond to any questions we had. Some issues with the hot water at times, but nothing too bad. Would definitely stay here again!!!!

Phenomenal view

What makes Little Reef is the incredible view. It really is wonderful looking out over the sea every breakfast and some sunsets. I would say the property is more tired and worn that the pictures show, and would benefit from some TLC and a deep clean (particularly in the 2nd bedroom). The aircon in the bedrooms was greatly appreciated and the washing machine was very handy. Little Reef was a bit further away from things than anticipated (my fault from not researching on google maps more extensively). There are a couple of overpriced (and not very good food wise) restaurants/bars within close walking distance, and one overpriced supermarket. We ended up hiring a car on our 2nd day and that made a world of difference. We tried out different beaches each day - Dover Beach, Holetown, Alleyene's Beach, Bottom Bay & Bathsheba day. It allowed us to visit lots of great beach bars and restaurants in the evening, and access to the far better Massey supermarket in Holetown. Communication with Richard was rapid and clear. Grantley was very friendly. Overall, I would definitely recommend the property if you are wanting a chilled holiday, but would recommend a car if you're wanting to go further out.

This is our second stay at little reef.. absolutely love the place. Perfect size. Has everything you need. Amazing views, amazing snorkelling. Perfect location. Host is great in communicating and we look forward to coming again..
