This log cabin is nestled in the private gated community of Powder Horn Mountain, and just 10 miles from Boone, this luxury cabin will be the perfect get away for your long overdue vacation! House sleeps 10 with decks and views on every one of the three levels! DOG friendly! Hot Tub and game room with pool table, darts, and board games. This is not just a vacation rental ... this is a `home` everything you want for cooking, baking, cutting, draining, barbecuing... you name it ... coffee maker and mini fridge stations in master(top floor) and in Gameroom(basement). Feel like getting out and about go drift a while on the new river or fishing on the state stocked Elk Creek. Powder Horn itself can be your hideout for your stay... enjoy the clubhouse, pool tables, ping pong, three lakes, fishing paddle-boating, community swimming pool, tennis courts, chapel, half court basket ball, fitness center, campground, miles and miles of hiking trails, playground and with full time maintenance rest assured you will always have access even in the winter months. Powder horn is about 45-50 mins to the ski slopes for all you snow bunnies. Like horses? Leatherwood is right around the corner and perfect for booking trail walks or sunset picnics! House has two bedrooms on the main level (2Queen), Upstairs Master(1 KING), Basement level Bedroom (2 sets of Bunk beds). (Full Bath on each level) INTERNET There is High Speed fiber internet with Skyline Skybest ! There is also free wifi at the clubhouse which is walking distance(about a half mile) Property is epic and certainly one of the best equipped in the High Country. Linens provided, bring some extra towels for the hot tub, bring your spices and stop before you get here for your groceries... once you get here... you won`t want to leave! PETS are $50 PER PET and charged separately after your initial booking. Please make note of any pets when you book.

The Best Hurricane Hideout

This cabin is just the best. Secluded, charming, clean, well kept, comfortable, amazing, just wonderful all the way around. We had a great time and hope to be back soon. Highly recommended!!!!

All the things

Our family enjoyed our stay. Plenty of space and local amenities to keep the entire crowd satisfied. Communication and responsiveness of the host was excellent. Local weather and road condition updates were appreciated. Will return for a second stay.

Annual Friend Trip

Perfect Getaway

This was a darling house! We had 6 adults and 4 teenagers, and it was cozy and comfortable. It was especially nice for the teenagers, with with dedicated space downstairs with the game room and the sleeping quarters. The boys also enjoyed the Clubhouse games and tried a little fishing (but no success on catching anything). The host company was great at communicating with us via text. We had everything we needed! The location was definitely a bit secluded. Had we expected this, we would've brought more groceries since the drive to anything was at least 20 minutes of windy, mountain roads. The host shared grocery store and gas locations upfront, but we didn't expect the windy/mountains roads to get out to the main road. We still enjoyed this home very much!

Amazing Home!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here! The house feels warm and cozy but had plenty of room to accommodate our three families (6 adults and 7 kids). The kids loved the game room downstairs and the adults loved sitting on the porch taking in the beautiful mountain view. The short hike to the stream was perfect for fishing and swimming. We drove easily to Boone and Blowing Rock each day. We happily recommend this cabin and hope to stay here again soon!

Beautiful Home and Stunning Views

We were very happy with the home and the accommodations. Everything was clean and as described. The grill was easy to turn on and use. Internet access was as expected so we brought games and talked to each other. We loved our stay and hope to come back someday.

Great for multiple families

Property manager was awesome! We enjoyed our stay. We did think the creek on the property would be accessible to all of us. We could have misinterpreted the listing. We were under the impression we could walk out the back door and let kids play in the creek. Once we figured out where to go, we loaded the kids up and went to a creek daily. The house is great for multiple families if you don’t want to sit together. We wish the main living area had more seating. We like to all be together after the kids are down for the night. Replacing the mattresses would add a lot to the comfort of the home. Over all, we had a great time and enjoyed our stay. The weather was perfect!

Great place for a family getaway

Terrific home. Our grandkids loved the house hot tub and the community pool. Everything was as described. The property managers were awesome and very responsive. We would definitely return!
