The local staff - Theresa and his assistant Travis who came to the house - were wonderful. Avari itself was a disaster - I needed Avari's help with a couple of minor items but the phone number to call for help put me in an endless hold cycle. No one EVER answered the phone. Ever. I would stay on the line for well over an hour on multiple occasions over two days. We also left text messages and chat messages to Avari. We actually did a google search, called the Texas company that apparently 'purchased' vacasa, and had a very kind receptionist ontact Avari (incidentally, she said she had tried calling Avari all day long a few days earlier and had the same thing happen). Perhaps it was a coincidence, but only then did we get a response. This is very troublesome and makes me concerned about other reservations I've made with Vrbo/Vacasa. This experience does not engender trust that Avari is responsive to its clients.
