Graduation party disaster

My family and I had booked this house for my daughter's graduation. The house was booked back in October of 2024. Her graduation was May 22nd. We booked the house for May 21st through May 25th. The house looked nice from the pics on the VRBO website. When arrived the host and not cleaned the balcony that overlooks the lake it infested with spiders and comb webs. The inside needed some clean but it wasn't as bad as the balcony. We checked in at 4:30ish. And informed the host of the cleaning issues. He sent for a cleaning company,they did not arrive until 9pm. She said she was told by the owner that it would be a light cleaning. This was not the case,all the bathrooms needed to be cleaned the refrigerator stove sinks all needed to be cleaned. She cleaned the restrooms she was supposed come back the next day to finish cleaning but the host never called her back to pay her for cleaning. We ended having to rent hotel rooms and got our refund. I highly recommend checking the place out prior to your check in date to insure that you don't have the same experience we had.

Lake retreat

It was the perfect quiet spot for our stay between baseball games. The owner was great at responding and we had everything we needed. There was construction during the week, but it didn’t affect our stay whatsoever. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Home

The home is stunning and the view of the lake from the loft was perfect! It was clean and decorated beautifully. We stayed as a group of 6 in the home. It was a perfect amount of space for us. The home is also an easy drive to shopping, restaurants and grocery stores. We were fortunate enough to not have any construction noise while staying as well. I have family in the area and would stay here again.

Potential is there

The townhome is lovely, and resides in an active construction zone, with workers onsite 6 days/week. Guest should drive slowly to avoid workers in the road and their equipment. The roads from/to the townhome were swept but I would still see some sheetrock, nails, glass and screws on the path at times. Prior to our arrival on Friday, there had been a power outage. The security alarm beeped every 5 seconds, and the kitchen lights had a digital console that reported an "over the wattage limit of 300w" issue. I promptly reported these to the owners via text. On Sunday, the owner apologized that no one was able to come. In the meantime, we left the kitchen lights alone, and I found a Youtube video of the security console that showed how to temporarily turn off the security beeping. My family also pointed out the cleanliness and "new condo" issues that I shared separately with the owners. For example, the terrace was home to many bugs and spiders. I attempted to clean it up, but it needed water and some scrubbing. Also, the master bedroom curtains had fallen and the shower door wouldn't stay shut. So, we just reported it to the owners and made do with workarounds. This VRBO has potential to be a premier VRBO rental in Dallas area in the future. However, for what we paid for our 3 night stay including a cleaning fee & required insurance, I expected a few "new condo" issues, but having to avoid or resolve issues on our own was very disappointing.

Nice multi-day getaway for the 4/8/2024 solar eclipse

Host: Very good. Mayur (primary host) was responsive to questions before we arrived and to our needs while we stayed at the house. House: Very, very nice. In my opinion, the pictures on Vrbo understate the view of Lake Hubbard from the house. The house is very new - we were the first renters after the hosts purchased it. The open floorplan on the main level was great for family games, meals, and just hanging out. Having 2 full and 2 half bathrooms worked out great for our 2 families. Location: Very good. Easy access to Sapphire Marina for a boat ride (which the kids loved), and to groceries/supplies/nice Lake walk in Rockwall on the east shore. There is a lot of construction nearby when we were there (more new homes and demolition of one area after a fire). But I still found it relaxing and pretty quiet outside, and I couldn't hear any noise from inside the house. There was already a nice little lakeside walk on a concrete path along the shoreline.
