Beautiful and tranquil setting, located on the Etowah River. Sit out on the deck and listen to the sounds of the river. Home has just been renovated. Great southern Dahlonega location. About a 10 minutes drive to downtown and 15-20 minute drive from local wineries and wedding venues.

Booked for a long weekend with friends to reconnect. The space was perfect for us and incredibly comfortable. The setting next to the river was quiet and beautiful. Wonderful home with thoughtful amenities, we would definitely go back!

Host was very easy to get a hold of and answered any questions I had. The house was just as it was in the pictures. It was absolutely gorgeous. It was clean, the beds were comfortable, it was very spacious. It was only 15 minutes from downtown Dahlonega. We would absolutely stay here again.

We really enjoyed Before the Bend River Cabin. We are already planning for next year. This cabin is amazing. Nicely stocked kitchen, great indoor and outdoor spaces. Access to the river and other entertainment options provided. Host is so nice and does a great job with communications.

My family had a wonderful time at Before the Bend! It was such a beautiful house. I appreciated how clean everything was, the comfortable beds, and gorgeous design. We loved playing in the river, enjoying coffee on the screened in back porch, and roasting hot dogs and s’mores at the fire pit! Perfect setting for a lovely getaway - thank you so much!

What a beautiful house and responsive host! We were celebrating a birthday with three couples and loved that the bedrooms were on three different levels. The property was in a neighborhood but felt secluded with the surrounding trees. The kitchen was very well equipped. We enjoyed the screened in porch and spent some time in the river. Very convenient location to downtown, vineyards, and a great distillery. If we come back to the Dahlonega area we would absolutely stay here again! One of the best Vrbo’s we’ve stayed at over the years! Very happy with our stay.

Great Cabin on the Water

A very nice, secluded cabin with lots of space for everyone - a screened porch and several decks with a walkway leading down to the water. One night about 12 deer appeared out of the trees right next to the cabin! We had one minor issue after we checked in, but Madonna took care of it immediately. Our family enjoyed this house and wished we could've stayed longer.

Perfect Getaway

This cabin was very well appointed with a great layout that was perfect for our family getaway (4 adults and 2 kids). There was plenty of outdoor space for enjoying the outdoors and the sound of the Etowah River, which you can see from the porch, or walk down to and enjoy the view from the “dock”. The fire pit was wonderful for making s’mores and enjoying the fall weather once the sun went down. Many thanks to our host, Madonna, who was very responsive and accommodating.

Mountain wedding

The house is very accommodating. It’s served as our homebase for us to leave to go to family wedding events in Dahlonega. Would definitely return. This house is one of the cleanest we’ve stayed at on VRBO.

Wonderful Getaway

Spacious cabin perfect for cousins reunion. Several gathering spaces for conversations and catching up! Screened-in porch perfect for anytime hanging out. Just what we were looking for!

Great for a girls' weekend

Enjoyed our stay at Before the Bend. The ice maker and freezer didn't work, and we had a bit of a struggle trying to lock the windows on the main floor, but the location was great and the house was clean and well done.
