Zoni Retreat /Secluded One Acre near Zoni Beach/AC/Wi-Fi/Sat TV

Quiet, peaceful, and secluded, yet only a 3 minute drive to Zoni Beach and a 10 minute drive to town; our fully-equipped 2 bedroom house is a wonderful retreat from the hustle of in-town settings. With good Wi-Fi, Sat TV, and good cell coverage communications will be a breeze. See also Zoni Breezes Upper and Lower #288656 and #345119. Why share a house, or stay in an apartment when you can enjoy the privacy of a whole house (open floor plan/high ceilings) to yourselves! The house is surrounded by thousands of acres of virgin countryside and hiking trails, with an ocean view from the upper part of its one acre parcel. Nearby Zoni Beach is incredible and uncrowded. Many times during the week we are the only ones on a one mile long soft white sand beach with gentle trade winds swaying green coco palms, and crystal clear turquoise waters. The snorkeling and diving on Culebra is some of the best in the Caribbean. For debit card use on lodging a $50 fully refundable damage deposit is required, to be debited prior to occupancy. See 'further details' below for information regarding renting our 4 door, 4 wheel drive SUV. Sport Utility Vehicle Rental: You can rent our Mitsubishi Montero 4 door, 4 wheel drive (or Toyota Highlander) for $75 per day a minimum of 7 days) $100 gas deposit is required on vehicle rental. A credit card (no debit cards), automobile liability insurance, and a driver's license are required for the vehicle rental. Our house and vehicle manager Wilma will provide transportation to and from the ferry or airport when you rent the vehicle for each day of your stay. There is a $15/day/guest fee for over 1 guest automatically included in the pricing. NOTE: There are three units available to rent on the property. If you would like to reserve more than one house at the same time, please complete a separate inquiry form for each of the properties. The location was great! Zoni beach was our favorote beach we visited on the island. The property was beautiful. The kitchen was well equipped and the air conditioning worked very well. We are from Arizona and not used to the humidity so it was very nice to be able to cool down in the house. The owner was very attentive and respoded quickly to questions we had and we had a great stay. Would definitely book again.

Arrived at the property and the bed was not cleaned. Towels all over the place, trash bag full, food in the fridge, food in the sink. Talked with the owner and I’m still waiting for the refund he promised.

We stayed 5 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Location was close to Zoni beach and not too far from the other beaches. Air conditioning worked great as we were there during a heat wave. Beds were comfortable and the beach chairs came in handy. Tom was very quick to respond if we needed anything. We rented his vehicle as well and it got us around the island nicely.

Super quiet, off the beaten path house, perfect for peace and quiet. We enjoyed the sunrise over the hill and deer grazing in the fields nearby. 15 minute car ride to anything. Tom is very fast to communicate with you and attentive to your needs for your stay.

The rental was just as described in the listing. We enjoyed the place and used it as a starting point to Flamenco, Zoni,, Tamarindo,, and town in the morning and a place to return to from the activities of the day. The local property managers changed just before our arrival but we (us and the host) dealt with it just fine.

This property was canceled the day before I was to arrive because it was double booked. The car I was supposed to rent with the host (even though it was canceled never did make it to the airport). It was supposed to be there with the keys in it. There was only one morning flight in so not sure how the host didn’t know when I was arriving since I said I’d be there in the morning. I had to book a new house the day before arrival and a car once I was there. Host offered to help with the significant price difference between the new and old house. To date I’ve not receivers any money. My trip ended up costing twice what I budgeted. The new place was one bedroom instead of two and was twice as much… very limited options for the next day. The only other option was to stay in town and not being in town was my first criteria for the trip.

Owner was fabulous. Cabin secluded. Because of isolation and Covid restrictions there were no amenities, get what you need before arrival. Plenty of towels. Cabin could use some TLC, throw pillows should be washed, fabric sofa cleaned as best as possible (it didn’t didn’t look dirty but I’m always uncomfortable with cloth things) microwave broken

This was one of my favorite vacations; maybe my favorite. The island is fantastic! We rented the SUV with the house, which was a great thing to have! The house manager had it waiting for us at the airport when we arrived; and with 3 young kids, we were very thankful for this and not having to wait for a golf cart or jeep rental. We found the house manager and owner to both be extremely responsive. They had great Information on the area and were so helpful for it being our first time to the island. The house itself is very clean! There are some lizards and ants that we saw get into the house, but we were expecting this. The house has plenty of cleaning supplies and had some spare trash bags, toilet paper, etc., to get us started. We were able to keep the home clean enough to not have any ant/bug problems, thankfully! The home does stay very cool! We kept the blinds closed when we left each day, and it only took a bit to cool down significantly once we returned between fans and AC units. The WiFi is a tiny bit spotty, but honestly MUCH better than we expected. There was one item that I didn’t realize when booking, and that is that the second bedroom is in the same “room” as the rest of the house. There are curtains to pull for privacy, though, and it also helped keep in the cool air from the AC unit. The yard is shared with another home at the top of the hill, but it still feels very very private. We enjoyed the expansive yard, and my kids loved climbing the tree and smelling the gorgeous flowers. Overall, terrific place! The owners and manager are very thoughtful, and they do their best to get you what you may need for your stay (towels, cleaning items, beach chairs and cooler, etc.). I hope we can return one day, and I’d love to come back to this cozy home! :)

The place is good, but definitely needs some TLC. It didn't look like it had been cleaned for quite a while before our stay. From the three AC units, only one was working, and it wasn't enough to cool off the place. Also, on the first night, we didn't think that the ants would come after a bag of corn chips and a banana, so we left them out of the fridge. On the next day, they were infested with ants. The same happened to our swimming suits and electronics (many of them got inside my laptop and drone battery charger). So, if staying there, remember to keep any kind of food in the refrigerator. And hang your swimming suits so they are out of reach of hungry ants.

We came to Culebra looking for great beaches and enjoy quality time with the family. This place was perfect! After my last visit to Culebra (21 years ago), I felt like home! I strongly recommend the place. If you are looking to connect with nature, forget your worries and enjoy the puertorrican life, this is for you. Looking forward to come back!

This was our second time staying at Zoni Retreat. The house is spacious and well equipped. It is located about 15 minutes from town and 10 minutes from Zoni Beach. The owner is very attentive to communication. Property manager was easy to reach. Will definitely return.
