Home sharing with amenities

Enjoy a “home-sharing” experience in Cuernavaca, “The city of eternal Spring,” close to Mexico City, in an apartment with a spacious bedroom, dressing area, and private bathroom, with free access to the living room, dining room, kitchen, dishwasher, and laundry center.

The apartment is on the ninth floor and has a view of the mountains (there are two elevators). Inside, it has a second bedroom and an additional bathroom, which I usually use. I also have an office all to myself, where I dedicate several hours a day to the computer when I’m at home, as is usually the case. By the way, I’m a professor—partially retired but still active on human rights.

Your stay will hopefully be more satisfying than a hotel room or a soulless space with very few kitchen utensils and almost no napkins. I make an effort to share the space without compromising my guests’ privacy or my own. However, since I live alone, I enjoy the company of the couples or singles I host just as much as I do the company of people I meet when I travel around Mexico or abroad. Here, I love going to the market with my guests or simply having a coffee or a beer downtown, enjoying an interesting conversation.

I’d love to host former USAID employees. In 1967–68, during my senior year of high school, I stayed with American host families in St. Paul, Minnesota, and I have unforgettable memories of their kindness.

You won’t have to pay for or worry about anything other than your own ingredients if you decide to cook at home; in that case, you’ll have access to kitchen utensils, oil, sugar, tortillas, and a reasonable supply of spices.

You may also enjoy the apartment's terrace with a martini or a sake, or even have lunch or dinner there; I seldom use it!

Your bedroom has a TV, new mattresses and blackout curtains. General cleaning is done twice a week, but if you like your bedroom absolutely dustless, you may use the Dayson at any time!

The condominium features spacious green areas for walking, a heated pool, and the following amenities: a jacuzzi, a gym, coworking spaces, a game lounge room with pool and card tables, a nice café/restorant serving breakfast and lunch at affordable prices, a small movie theater, and covered parking.
