However we had a room for 3 adults and apart from having to pull the sofa bed out and make it ourselves it was extremely uncomfortable with a mattress so thin the metal work could be felt. We would also have liked hot milk at breakfast (for weetabix) which we were told wasn't available. The hotel served our purpose but was not the same standard as other Best Western hotels. "

"Really nice room. Cosy bar and restaurant. The Four out of five for the staff because they sat around us chatting whilst we were having breakfast. It felt a little like we were in the way of their conversation. Dined here on two evenings and one breakfast. Very good meals apart from a massively overpriced “cauliflower steak” - ordered out of curiosity but I should have asked first. It was just a roasted head of cauliflower… and not that big a one, either, but the price didn’t reflect...

"All of the team were very friendly and helpful. There was a young lady who served us breakfast and she was exceptional …. unfortunately we didn’t get her name. The only negative point was the stairs that were narrow in parts and not very wide. We are pensioners and found them difficult to claim. "
