Low Key Luxury properties offer six beautifully appointed coastal gems in the heart of Overstrand, all within a couple of minutes of each other.

    Think country cottages packed with original features but bursting with contemporary style and luxury finishes. All have very well-equipped kitchens and sleek, modern bathrooms and have been stylishly furnished to provide relaxing interiors which are lovely to hang out and unwind in. Made just perfect for families, they offer bathtubs with showers over and pretty courtyard gardens that are perfect for a morning coffee from the coffee machine or an evening sundowner after a day on the nearby beach. This mix of dog-friendly and dog-free cottages mostly have wood-burning stoves too so you can snuggle up off-season after blustery beach walks.

    Everything has been well thought out and all the cottages offer king-size beds that are just made for a great night’s sleep. Dating back to at least the 1800s, the traditional Norfolk Fisherman’s cottages, Rectory Cottage and Beach Retreat both sleep four and are next door to each other. These two properties offer small off-road parking areas, something of a rarity this close to the beach. Also built in the 1800s and just a little further along lies Gardener’s Cottage, which sleeps six and has a kingsize bedroom on the ground floor with an ensuite shower room, making this a two-bathroom property that’s perfect for three generations travelling together. These three properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 14 guests. And the location couldn’t be better either as you are footsteps from the wide sandy stretch of Overstrand beach and have places to eat on foot too. Make sure you take the time to visit nearby Cromer with its famous pier and head to the Norfolk Broads and hire a day launch or join a tour. You are spoilt for choice both in terms of things to do and cottages to choose from. And whichever property you choose you are very sure to be delighted!

We enjoyed our week here a great deal.

We enjoyed our week here a great deal. The furnishings - sofa's and beds were exceptionally good. The kitchen was well equiped. However, we were extremely disappointed with lack of grab handles in the bath/shower area. My wife couldn't use the shower at all as she has a mobility problem that would have been dangerous if she had to negotiate/climb in out of the bath. A grab handle like the one in toilet area would have helped. Also the area needs a some form of step to access the bath more easily. It's an accident waiting to happen.I have also to report that we phoned to ask about the TV functions on the first day and left a message. We did not receive a reply from the host.
