"We had a lovely stay at the Royal Marine Hotel. Our room was spacious with three huge bay windows overlooking the sea, an enormous comfortable bed and an excellent shower. It was very clean, although a fresh coat of paint and some attention to the skirting boards would make it even better. "Nice clean rooms, a TV, coffee, tea bags, cookies for your breakfast. The Italian restaurant downstairs was awesome! Tried all deserts and they were all fantastic. Did not have a chance to be at the bar , but it looked inviting. Shuttle bus was reliable. The stop is in zone 16 (by memory), a bit further away than the busses going to town. There was an extra charge for an early check in."

"The room was clean but a little small. The presence of all the main UK TV channels was a pleasant surprise. The shower was excellent. There were also plenty of towels. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The reception staff were outstanding - super helpful and very willing to help. EUR 13 for a continental breakfast was a bit steep but we did take advantage of the coffee and Danish for EUR 5 deal."

"From the moment of our arrival to checkout it was perfect. The staff was friendly, welcoming and professional. The rooms were large and comfortable. There were two cozy chairs and a small, round wooden table in the corner, and a long writing desk with refrigerator and other amenities on one wall. The king size bed was super comfortable. "Kittyhawks restaurant service was poor, waited half an hour for an order to be taken, I had the burger which was well overcooked, spouse had fish & chips which was satisfactory. SHuttle bus in the morning was a bit of a lottery with luggage with passengers large golf bag holders having to be accommodated beside passenger seats but it did get us to airport in time"

"Only suggestions for improving the Hotel experience is as follows. 1. Move smokers location further away from front door. 2. More staff to handle breakfast during peak periods as supplies run low due to demand. Good experience otherwise."

"Chose this hotel for the free airport shuttle. Easy to sign up, easy to board, timely and efficient. Really appreciated the staff because I when I requested they hold our luggage hours before check in, they chose to find us a room that was ready that matched our reservation. Very professional and something that is so helpful to guests."

But the room was not clean there was wine stains on the carpet and the bed side tables looked like they hadn't been wiped in a long time.. also no WiFi did not work in our room. And the shower unit was coming away from the wall."
