ANAM CARA– Woodland setting near Ark Encounter!

Summary:
Welcome to your retreat home when visiting the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. Take in the scenes and sounds of nature while enjoying family, friends, and fellowship. Kick up your feet by the fireplace, roast s'mores from the outdoor fire pit, enjoy a movie night, and strike up conversations over dinner .
This 2,800 sq ft. upper level home features: a cozy living room, dining room, kitchen, 4 bedrooms, 2 and a half bathrooms, fire pit, ping pong table, indoor/outdoor games, and so much more.

The Space:
- Cozy Retreat House: This upper level home is a great fit for small to large groups. The house contains 2 Bunk Rooms, 1 Master Suite, 1 additional guest room, and 2.5 bathrooms. The home sleeps 14 people comfortably, but can accommodate up to 16 including the sleeper.

- Details on sleeping arrangements:
Bedroom 1: Master Suite contains 2 Queen size beds
Bedroom 2: Library Suite contains 1 Queen size bed and a Full sofa sleeper
Bedroom 3: 1 Full/Twin bunk and 1 Twin/Twin bunk
Bedroom 4 : 1 Full/Twin bunk and 1 Full bed


- Amenities: Private driveway and entrance, keyless entry, WIFI, TV, stocked kitchen, fireplace, outdoor fire pit, grill, washer and dryer, ping pong table, indoor/outdoor games, and outdoor seating.

- Parking: Private driveway that is big enough for vans and trailers. Feel free to utilize the garage for additional parking.

- Nature: This home sits on 24 acres of forestry. From the comfort of the fenced in yard you can enjoy stargazing on clear nights, relax to sounds of nature, and take in the fresh country air.

Guest Access:
Guests can access the home via keyless entry. Code will be given with the check-in instructions.

Other Things to Note:
- Privacy/Noise: The owners live in the lower level house. Please know that your privacy will be respected and you most likely will not interact with the owners unless requested or you need assistance with your stay! You may see them tending the grounds or leaving or entering. In addition, they do have a dog and small infant you may hear an occasional sound.

- Stores and Shopping: This home is located in a rural location. We recommend you stop by the store on your way in!

The home is absolutely breath-taking! There were plenty of beds and bedding for all of us. It was also close to the Ark, which was great. I just wish we could have stayed for more than one night.

This is beautiful home. The website is very accurate about its amenities! My family enjoyed every minute we were there. Everyone slept well on the Temper Pedic mattresses. It was very clean and well maintained! I would definitely choose this house again

Really loved this property and the owners were very kind and responded to texts quickly! The ONLY downfall is we expected the entire home but the family lives in the lower level. I do believe that should be made completely clear, and the entire home should NOT be listed on the property. With that being said the home is stunning and we loved our time at Anam Cara!

We had our whole family on this trip. It was very comfortable and met our needs. Probably the one thing that was slightly negative was that one adult couple had to sleep on the lower bunk bed with thinner mattresses which was less comfortable than the regular adult beds. It would have been nice if they had had better mattresses. But the whole experience was quite pleasant. Thank you for your home being open!

Beautiful Home and Location

Our stay was wonderful. The communication when needed was quick and resulted in us having a fantastic stay with the owners providing us with anything we needed! Definitely recommend. The property is beautiful with a wonderful back yard the kids played in and the house was spacious enough for our 12 guests! (8 of which were children under the age of 11!)

Great for a larger family

This is such a lovely place. The location is out a little ways but so very beautiful. The place is spacious and clean. Loved the baby grand piano!!! Also, love the Bible verses all over. There are only two little suggestions I would have to improve things. 1 - switch the mattresses on the bunk beds from camp mattresses to real ones. The kids were pretty uncomfortable. 2 - A small complimentary packet of coffee

Family stay

Overall fantastic stay. Clean, roomy, plenty of towels and blankets. The 3 grand boys enjoyed ping pong, basketball and bunk beds. The 3 baby girls slept very comfortably in bunk beds next to the parents. Lovely bathrooms. Only hick up..grill was not in much shape to grill as expected. We substituted with very nice oven. There was a small child crying downstairs but considering we had 3 tiny cryers of our own, it was perfect. Hope our boys walking back and forth didn't disturb downstairs owners to badly. :)

Out of the way escape

We stayed there after a long day at the Ark Encounter. The house is very nice and clean with plenty of room however there aren’t places to eat nearby so best to bring your own food. We were only there one night but it would be a nice place to stay longer at.

Ark Encounter and Creation Museum

We stayed here because we had a family of 12. House was very clean and had everything we needed. It was a 30 minute drive to the Ark but it was worth it. The drive was beautiful and so was the property.

Kristen was very helpful and professional. She immediately responded to questions that I had concerning my stay. The house itself was super clean and organized. We had 16 people staying, and there was plenty of space for each individual. If we come back to Kentucky, we will definitely stay here again.
