The perfect base camp for your Rocky Mountain adventure. Located on THIRTEEN acres enjoy exploring the property. We are also super close to hiking, fishing, rafting, and skiing. We hope our cabin can be a way for you to truly escape and experience the beautiful Colorado Rockies!

You will have access to the entire four acre property and home. There are only a handful of locked owners closets.

We will be available (remotely) during your stay, but for the fastest response time, please message us (instead of calling).

Fishing – Jefferson Lake is the closest and most popular place to fish, but there are also numerous small creeks nearby

Hiking – French Pass trailhead is 7.8 miles out and back along French Creek, making for a peaceful day hike. There are plenty of wildflowers in the warmer months. The Colorado Trail has a trailhead for Section #6 ~ 5 minutes away and offers a moderate hike to beautiful views of the mountains.

Camping – 1 mile east of town, turn on Lost Park Rd and continue for about 20 miles. It dead ends at a Lost Park Campground, which has 12 sites and is first-come, first-serve. Alternatively, there are primitive campsites before the designated campground that are much easier to reach. Kenosha Campground is only 5 minutes from Jefferson and has several car camping sites with minimal amenities. It is located on the Colorado Trail for convenient hiking access.

Also Buena Vista hot springs or Breckinridge ski town is only an hour away
1) If you are driving - we recommend you park on the top driveway (especially if there is snow, that little hill by the garage can be hard to climb)
2) Quiet hours in the neighborhood are 10p-7. Please make sure to be quiet after 10p (if you are outside) or take your fun inside... we have had a few instances where the neighbor threatened to call the cops.
3) We are on a septic - please do NOT throw anything down the drains aside from toilet paper. That includes NO food down any of the drains
4) The Roku remotes take a little time before they connect to the TV, please be patient.
5) Please minimize pet traffic in bedroom carpet (we have had a few guests recently allow dogs to pee on the carpet, pls dont do that!). Dog beds are available for use.
6) Ensure main front storm door is closed at all times when not in use.
7) For hot water in master shower, turn knob to 4:00 and adjust temperature from there.
8) Do NOT put any trash outside. You can put it in the lower level, cleaner will take care of it. Or leave it in the garage. Pls don’t put it outside or bears/raccoons will get into it
9) In the winter months we ask the cleaner to turn off the water after she cleans. You can turn off the water in the utility room (on same floor as the Pool table). Its a yellow lever that you will turn.
10) We do not keep propane stocked for liability reasons, we recommend checking that the tank doesn`t need to be filled if you plan to use any amenities requiring propane during your stay. If you do need to get the tank refilled please let us know and we`d be happy to reimburse you!
11) This is a more rustic location, so we recommend stopping at the grocery store before heading up! Nearest Grocery store is 35 min away in FairPlay(Prather’s Market)
12) Master bedroom fireplace works but takes about 10-15 seconds to kick on after hitting the switch.
Family room fireplace works but sometimes the wall switch doesn’t kick it on. It can be turned on manually by opening the cover and turning the knob.
13) Ceiling speakers are disconnected and not usable.
14) IMPORTANT: Fire restrictions in effect. To reduce the risk of wildfire, open fires outside are strictly prohibited! The fire pit is NOT available for use.
