Summary:
This beautiful, historic 1800's home is just a short stroll to downtown restaurants and attractions, and only 15 minutes to Fort Moore. Whether you are attending a military graduation, traveling for business, or just here to soak up the rich culture of Columbus, you will love this Southern classic! It's the perfect place to relax, explore, and fellowship. If you are traveling as a big group, book the apartment in the back, too. Together they sleep 15!

The Space:
This 2-bedroom/2-bathroom home is a perfect place to get away. The bedrooms are accented by gorgeous heart-pine floors and illuminated by large windows. Bedroom one has a queen bed, and bedroom two has two full beds and a trundle bed (twin with twin pullout underneath).
Enjoy a movie or sporting event in the living room. The couches center around a unique fireplace that no longer works, but it adds to the historic character of this great home! Cook up any meal in the fully stocked kitchen and enjoy outside on the rocking chairs and porch swing! During your stay, you will have full access to the front unit; the back unit is rented separately. Please inquire if you are interested in renting both together.

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the entire unit! It is a town home, but both units have their own entrances and are completely separate. This unit is located in the front, and there is a separately rented back unit.

The Neighborhood:
This historic home is located in Uptown Columbus within walking distance to Broadway, the River walk, Columbus State University, and the Spring Opera House. Enjoy all of the nearby bars, restaurants, and coffee shops.

Getting Around:
This home is a quick stroll to the downtown area. Fort Benning is just a short drive or Uber away!

We require a signed rental agreement and for guest to be 21 years of age to book.
If you notify us of your intent to cancel prior to the lapse of the free cancellation period, we will return 97% of your payment. The other 3% will already have been collected by the credit card processing company, and we have no way to return that portion of the payment.
We are a pet friendly home. Pets must be crated when they are left unattended in the home. We do not allow pets on furniture or beds, and all waste must be cleaned up from the yard. All pets require a non-refundable pet fee. If there is evidence of pet hair on the furniture, excess hair in the home, stains, or waste found in the yard or home, you will be charged the cost to clean this. In the event that a security deposit is collected, we will retain all or part of the security deposit to cover any costs associated with additional cleaning due to pets.

Great location

Close to the river. Very convenient for all the touristy things. Peaceful shaded front porch with swing and table with chairs to have evening meal or morning coffee. 2 bedrooms/2 baths with 2 full size beds and a day bed with trundle in 1 room, larger bed in other room. Central air conditioning to keep house cool. Stand up shower in 1 bathroom, tub/shower combo in the other. Couch with loveseat in living area. This is an older house. The questions I had were answered immediately. No wait time at all. Very, very good hosts.

We Did Not Stay In This Property

The day we were supposed to arrived we received a text there was maintenance issues and we had to be moved to another location called The Columbus Cottage. 1. Once we agreed to the new location we did not get the address. We had to call the property owner and they said our point of contact left for the day. So they texted us the info.2. When we arrived the door code provided did not work. We called the property again and they gave us the new number.3. We did not feel the neighborhood was very safe. Cars racing up and down the streets at night. 4. Coffee maker did not work ( a replacement was provided same day)5. A swarm of termites were in the house. I advised the property owner and they said they were sorry but it was the time of year they were in the area. Maybe outside but not inside the house. 6. The TV had to be programmed 2 times. ROKU was trying to updating software and locked up. I reset it to factory default and used my owner account info to watch TV. On the last day it did it again (3rd time) and did not fix this time.Overall every time I had a issue the property owners were responsive. I appreciated them getting us into another location on the last day but we had not other choice and hotel space was very limited due to Army graduation and high school graduation.My first time using VRBO and Patriot Homes in Columbus GA and we were not happy with this location.

Bed Bugs Bite Alert!

This property was enjoyable. Perfect Location, Clean and Quiet. EXCEPT I woke up with bed bug bites after the 1st night and came home with bites all over my body. Called the Property Manager but was advised that they cannot send a termite exterminator because it was a Saturday or a weekend. I was given a choice to either leave and find another accommodation since they are not able to move us to one of their properties because according to them, bed bugs travel. In short I was given no remedy but to stay for another 2 days. At checked out day I asked for another hour delay to do laundry and dryer for all our clothes before leaving so we don’t bring the bed bugs on us but I was given no consideration and a hard stop. It’s so unfortunate. Customer service could be improved and Solutions could be put in place for unforeseeable incidents like bed bugs on weekends! Anyway, we managed to get back home safely but bed bug bites all over my body. I was miserable. I’m thankful my children didn’t get them. I would’ve been so livid.

Spring vacation

This unit exceeded our expectations. It was in a great location and was spacious, very clean, and was equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The beds were very comfortable. We were able to walk to enjoy the gorgeous River Walk, fantastic restaurants, and uptown shops. Our host was very hospitable, efficient, knowledgeable, and answered our questions very quickly. We will definitely plan on staying here again. Thanks for sharing your home.

Perfect for the Week

We needed an alternative to a hotel for a better fit for our family during the week in Columbus. This house was perfect for the four of us. The only con would be the close location to a meeting place that had a lot of traffic in and out of the parking lot in the evenings and the rooms need better blinds with so much activity next door…especially the bathroom. Overall, we would stay again.

Quick response large spacious rental

Quick response when confirming my rental and throughout the stay I was contacted to be sure we were comfortable and satisfied. This is a large spacious rental I would definitely stay here again when traveling with friends and family.
