Ambler's Hide - Dog-Friendly Static Caravan near Cockermouth

Ambler's Hide is a beautifully presented, dog-friendly holiday caravan sleeping up to four guests, located on the peaceful, family-run Brigham Holiday Park near Cockermouth on the edge of the Western Lake District. Whether you're planning a walking holiday, a sightseeing break or simply somewhere to relax and unwind, Ambler's Hide provides a comfortable base throughout the year.

Brigham Holiday Park is a well-maintained gated park with just 72 privately owned caravans and an on-site warden, creating a quiet and welcoming environment for couples and families alike. With easy access to the A66, you'll be perfectly placed to explore the lakes, mountains, forests and picturesque villages that make the Lake District National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, one of Britain's most popular holiday destinations.

The spacious master bedroom features a king-size bed, generous built-in wardrobes, drawers, a dressing table, window seat and plenty of storage. It also benefits from a private en-suite shower room with toilet, wash basin, heated towel radiator and additional storage. The second bedroom offers two comfortable single beds together with a wardrobe and storage, making the caravan ideal for families or friends travelling together. A separate family shower room is located off the hallway.

The fully equipped kitchen has everything you'll need for a self-catering holiday, including a built-in gas oven, five-ring gas hob, microwave, 70/30 fridge freezer, full-size dishwasher, 9kg washing machine, Dolce Gusto coffee machine, kettle and toaster. A full range of cookware, crockery, cutlery, baking trays and kitchen utensils is also provided, making it easy to prepare anything from breakfast before a day out to an evening meal after exploring the area.

The bright and comfortable lounge is the perfect place to relax after a busy day. Sink into the comfortable seating and enjoy the 43-inch Hisense Full HD Smart TV with Freeview, where you can sign into your own Netflix or Amazon Prime accounts. A Blu-ray player with a selection of DVDs and a feature electric fire create a cosy atmosphere whatever the season. Free Wi-Fi and USB charging sockets are also provided throughout your stay.

The dining area comfortably seats four guests, providing the perfect space for family meals, board games or planning the next day's adventures.

Outside, you'll find gated composite decking to the front and side of the caravan with stylish glass panels, creating a lovely space to enjoy your morning coffee or relax with a drink in the evening. Outdoor furniture is provided, and there is parking for one vehicle directly beside the caravan. A small grassed area is located alongside the caravan for your use (please note this area is not enclosed).

Ambler's Hide welcomes dogs, with 1 medium dog or 2 small dogs accepted on request only.

Bed linen and towels are provided for use during your stay. All beds are made up ready for your arrival.

A travel cot and high chair can be provided for a small additional charge. Please let us know before your arrival if you would like either item arranged.

Cockermouth, the birthplace of William Wordsworth, is just 3 miles away and offers a wonderful selection of independent shops, cafés, restaurants and supermarkets. Keswick, the beautiful Derwentwater lake, Whinlatter Forest, Buttermere, Bassenthwaite Lake and many of the Western Lake District's most popular attractions are all within easy driving distance, making Ambler's Hide an excellent base for discovering this spectacular part of Cumbria.

For the comfort of all guests, Brigham Holiday Park does not permit contractors or work vans on site. Hen and stag party bookings are not accepted.
