Have just stayed here for 2 nights as I was working in the area at a festival and Mark the owner from the outset was so helpful with directions/ my late check in and kept me updated with pictures on how to enter the hotel. The room was cozy and did just the job for my 2 night work stay. Also the breakfast and coffee… top notch!!!"

"This place is outstanding. It’s a lovely location in a quiet village a few minutes walk away to the shop and pub and within minutes your in the countryside exploring the WWII history on offer. It’s very quiet and safe and free parking right outside the door. The cottage is very nice and is a mixture of modern bits mixed with old but has a very well stocked kitchen, a large comfy living area, a down stairs bathroom and toilet and two upstairs bedrooms. I will definitely be back."

"set in beautiful countryside. very quiet, room was very comfortable with a wonderful view, and we had a shared kitchen with another room, with microwave, fridge, in which we put some cold items for the next day. hosts were wonderful, very helpful in recommending somewhere to eat that 1st night, the local pub was lovely and great food. and the breakfast that we had the following morning was exceptional, plenty of safe parking. would highly recommend"

"Third stay at The Angel. Comfortable, clean room and easy overnight parking adjacent. Excellent housekeeping. Very nice on-site Italian restaurant, ideal for dinner. The staff set this place apart. Friendly, relaxed and nothing is too much trouble. Even sent someone to buy Marmite for my breakfast toast when they ran out. Took 2 mins and a new pot arrived! Hope to visit again next year."

Lovely and secluded however the patio needed some attention, all the plants in the pots around the site were dead and there was a disused hot tub which we had to look at rather than use! The hut itself was in good nick although the toilet flush and mirror in the bathroom need some attention "
