From the moment you cross the threshold at SolMates, you'll find yourself beginning to relax. Everything at this private oceanview condo in the desirable Villa Madeleine complex has been designed to instill a sense of peace, comfort and happiness.

The heart of the home is the private pool and pool deck. The rest of the house is built around it, with French doors (and new screen doors) from every room providing maximum views, breezes and privacy.

The two luxurious master bedroom suites are at opposite ends of the house. The primary master bedroom features a mahogany king size bed, and the second master features a king bed that can also be converted into 2 twin beds. Each master suite has a large bathroom with pink marble walk-in shower and separate water-closet. Both bedrooms also have AC, cable TVs, ceiling fans, views of the ocean and hillside, and French doors out to the pool deck.

The pool and deck are furnished and equipped for floating, sunning, dining, and limin’, island style! You may never want to leave!

For times indoors, the living/dining room features comfortable furnishings for watching movies on the flat screen cable TV or WiFi, listening to your favorite tunes via the Bluetooth stereo speakers, and just kicking back.

The galley kitchen is well-equipped for serving cocktails, snacks, and full meals. A gas grill is sheltered from the sea breezes on the separate grilling patio, under the shade of palm trees.

For dining at home, there's a cozy rattan table for 4, or an umbrella-shaded patio table by the pool.

While you may never want to leave SolMates, there is so much more to enjoy on St Croix! In addition to tennis on the grounds and golf just minutes away, SolMates is convenient to all island activities — beaches, scuba and snorkeling, boating and other water sports, restaurants, shopping, and a casino, and historical sites.

SolMates is a perfect haven for a couple wanting a romantic getaway, or two couples traveling together. Also great for vacationing friends, or families with teenagers.

Paradise

Soulmates is exactly as advertised and the owners were great to work with! The villa has everything that you need and is very clean and well maintained. The view is amazing, the pool and breezes refreshing, the community very quiet- it’s all so peaceful and relaxing. We can’t wait to return!

Respite in Paradise

We stayed at SolMates in late April/early May while conducting business on the island. The villa has a convenient but quiet East End location which was perfect for our needs. Restaurants, nightlife and beaches are all nearby. The private pool deck features new coral stone tile (most of the Villas have terra cotta pool decks) which is easy on the feet in the hot sun. The kitchen is nicely equipped. Overall the villa is extremely comfortable and very livable.

Excellent views, relaxing, well kept

The property location is amazing, and feels very very safe, quiet, and secure. The pool is perfect and extremely well kept. The villa has anything you could want and is already well stocked- we were so pleasantly surprised! It’s so easy to settle in and already feel comfortable and relaxed here.We hope to make a return trip! Thanks for having us

Loved the house and the location

So let me start by saying that we loved the house the location and the property managers/host were great. The only issue and it was a big one..the unit doesn’t have AC thru out which we knew and wasn’t the main issue. The main issue is that there were multiple holes in the bug screens on doors and windows. We had a choice of sealing up with no AC or getting eaten alive by no see um and other flying critters. Fix this issue please because we simply love the place but are legs look sorta rough right now with alot of red marks even wearing bug spray which you can’t wear going to bed. Conclusion loved the place just minor things.

Wonderful seclusion

The villa was exactly as described. The owners take great pride in the property and the amenities they provided were icing on the cake. The private pool was amazing. If you are looking for a quiet retreat, this is definitely the place for you. SolMates touched and rejuvenated our souls!

East End Boys

Well, girls actually. Pet Shop Boys in reverse. West Side is rainy. East is dry. Plan accordingly. Stay East. Visit West. Great little place. Location is removed a bit. Plan 15 min at least to anywhere. But then, that’s perfect for STX IMO. Villa Madaline quiet. Pool is great. Beds comfy. The separation of the master from the second bedroom across the pool is great to create space among guests. Everything you need. Strong reco.

Nt a single complaint. I mean, who can complain when in such a beautiful place on an even more gorgeous island!! The villa is simply a most lovely place. AC in the bedroom helped for sleeping. Let the island breeze flow through the rest of the home. Soaked in Pool to get the day started. Coffee and view to decompress. Drive the island and find yourself in awe with the geography!!! So much I could say. Thank you Pat and Tom!!!

We enjoyed the private pool very much. The only thing that was less-than-perfect was the lack of air conditioning in the living area and kitchen. We would have been happy to pay extra for A/C.

Sol Mates was a wonderful place to stay. It was quiet and secluded. The property was gated and very ,very nice. It had everything we needed already provided. Wonderful ocean and tropical views.The private pool was outstanding as well. Well maintained and clean. This is a must stay for anyone visiting. You will need a car because of the seclusion. Definitely coming back for another extended stay next year. Awesome!!!

Absolutely beautiful villa!

This villa is absolutely gorgeous! We stayed for 2 1/2 weeks and the owners had every amenity imaginable. Comfortable beds, clean inside, tons of towels, rafts and floats, beach chairs, a cooler and so much more. The pool is beautiful and such a nice treat after a day at the beach or an evening swim. The complex was quite and private. We are out most nights but the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you can imagine if you want to cook at home. Great air conditioning in both bedrooms. The main house was a bit hot as it doesn’t have a/c. I would highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a beautiful place to stay in the east end of St. Croix. We loved our stay here and will definitely return!

Beautiful Villa

Celebrated my best friend’s 50th birthday at her favorite place, St. Croix and loved our stay at SolMates at Villa Madeleine. The villa is on a beautiful hillside overlooking the ocean and the green hills around it. Patricia and Tom provided everything we needed (toiletries, coffee, beach chairs, lots of beach towels, etc.). Our favorite part was hanging around the private pool with the best pool floats ever! No matter what time of day, you could always go for a dip in the pool. Loved the French doors from your own bedroom leading right to the pool. If you want relaxation and quiet, this is the place for you. It’s best to get a Jeep in St. Croix to really explore the island. There are so many great places nearby. You are only about 9 minutes from Point Udall for the best sunrises. We hiked to nearby Isaac’s Bay and Jack’s Bay. Jack’s Bay is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island…only accessible by foot. Go early right after sunrise and take your snorkel gear and water. We had the entire beach to ourselves. In the area are Shoy’s, Cheney, and Cramer’s beaches and Ziggy’s, Deep End (Caribbean Night with Moko Jumbies), Castaways, and Duggan’s for restaurants and bars. Christiansted is only about 15 minutes away. This trip we found a wonderful pizza/Italian place there called Alfio’s. Amazing people, food, and drinks. And then there’s the North Shore and western side to adventure to with so much to see and do! Absolutely loved our vacation and villa!

Wonderful relaxing stay! Only one glitch - the umbrella was broken when we arrived. We put a call into the local contact and he said he’d come by Monday. Despite following up twice - he never came by or returned my calls. And wear bug spray!!! Place is just as described and wonderful! Kate

East End Quiet

Second time at this location. All clean and quiet. Little things were a little shabby but nothing to take away from the stay. Tvs could be SMART and AC updated for whole villa. It's hot in the afternoon with really no shade by the pool. Can only take so much sun. Umbrella was no help. Cramer's is a hidden jewel of a beach. Duggans good but a little off track. Goat soup is very good and Hamiltons is outstanding if u can get a reservation. Ok we loved it.... really!
