Open floor plan. Great for families and entertaining.

With the open concept it is a great place for families or friends to be together. The kitchen here is truly the Heart of the home and a part of the open living space. It has custom cabinets, granite counters and stainless appliances.
For the colder months, both bathrooms have heated tile floors. The main bathroom is a whirlpool tub/shower combo.
Residence on the Avenue. A Spacious Vintage condo in a stunning 1928 Art Deco building on a tree lined avenue.

A very quiet and secure 4 unit building with front lobby entrance. Property manager on site to answer any questions and to make sure that your stay at Residence on the Avenue is a wonderful experience. Open floor plan with spacious gourmet kitchen/dining area over looking the living room with fire place. Custom cabinets, granite counter Great for entertaining. This spacious condo has 9 ft. ceilings. All hard wood floors. Private garden with its own seating area. Also see our 3 bedroom 2nd floor unit #290256.

Large bathrooms. One with whirlpool/shower,the other with large walk in shower. Italian tile heated floors. The bedrooms and main bath are located down a seperate hallway. Bedroom one has a French four poster queen size bed. Bedroom two has a Victorian antique full sized bed and walk in closet. All linens are 400 thread count or greater to insure a comfortabele sleep. Our condos are maintained at the highest level to insure a healthy environment. We are a Green building with high effeciency systems.

On the Evanston Border, only 1 mile from the quaint downtown, home to great shops, restaurants and of course Northwestern University. Loyola University is also really close to Residence on the Avenue. This would make a perfect place to call home for all Northwestern & Loyala games and events. Also while visiting your child who are attending one of these great schools.
Walking distance to the Red Line as well as bus service. Quick access to Wrigley Field, Lincoln Park Zoo and the Magnificent Mile. You can reach the city center with in 20 minute. This is truly a great place to call home while exploring all the wonderful things that Chicago and Evanston have to offer. Wrigley Field home to the Cubs is just 15 minutes from our location!

Host was very accommodating. The condo was nicely decorated, it was clean and comfortable, and had all the amenities we wanted. Loved the location as it was close to family. Looking forward to staying here again the next time we’re in town!

Overall loved the space. Great neighborhood, clean inside, great space. My only 2 complaints are, 1. It smelled very strong of cat litter which was quite odd. And 2. The check in process was strange. The manager required that he meet you in person and go through each page of the binder, and go through the entire house, one by one. I have never had that happen, and it was honestly inconvenient and annoying. Luckily, the space itself was great, so I gave it 5 stars.

Chicago get-away

This was a comfortable and attractive apartment very conveniently located for our stay in Evanston. Ross was an excellent host, responsive and available as needed. Would highly recommend it for anyone visiting the area.

A visit to Chicago

This was a great place to stay for our quick visit to Chicago. It was clean, stylishly designed, and the garden apartment stayed nice and cool through a Chicago heat wave. The private garage was great, but be warned that it is small and likely will not accommodate most larger vehicles like a minivan or a 7 passenger SUV. I barely got the Dodge Durango we had rented into the garage, but it took some significant concentration. The property manager did warn me about that when he called the day before I arrived. I would not have been able to find a spot for street parking easily. Communication with the property manager was excellent.

Does not have a hot tub. Only a (poorly) jetted bathtub, which is also listed separately.When I used the jets on the jetted tub, mold filled the water. On closer inspections, there is mold visibly in the jets.There are plenty of plates, cups, and silverware, but the "cookware" is very lacking.Ice maker is brokenFireplace exists, but is a gas fireplace that does not turn on, nor does it have a vent.There is NO carbon monoxide detector. There is a smoke detector, but no carbon monoxide detector is illegal in Chicago.Cabinet in the living room is broken to a dangerous degree.No DVD playerNo electric kettleNo blenderNo smart TV. There is a wallmounted flat-screen tv, but it is low resolution, no smart TV connection capabilities, and is 15 years oldNo safe (unless it is in the "utility room" that we were told not to enter.)Not in the city center. Use Google maps.Not on a lake, again use Google maps.There are 2 bedrooms, but "sleeps 6" is very disingenuous. One room is a twin, and the other is only *slightly* bigger. The sofa bed is unsleepable, even for a sofa bed, just a thin mattress topper on bars.Not near a zoo or marina (25min by Uber, or over an hour by public transit)There is no horseback riding nearby. While there is a training program for horseback riding that is a long term enrollment program semi nearby, the nearest horseback riding available to the public is 1 hour by Uber, or 3 hours by public transitScrapes, Knicks, and Dings on almost every wall.

My cousin was bitten by a spider. The lightning fixtures were dusty with spider webs orher that it was convenient place to stay. There were 2 beds and a sofa bed (not comfortable) this not a place to stay for a friend's trip if you need to sleep alone. It doesn't sleep 6 comfortably. The property was nice and responsive to meeting our needs.

Wonderful Stay

Our stay was pleasant and comfortable. The layout of the villa was perfect for our group. Having off-street parking was an added bonus for sure. Great location and easy to get to lots of fun stuff around the city.

Lovely Property with a Garage Available

Well maintained, tastefully decorated, and generously furnished. There were three of us but other family members visited. Parking was a bit tricky, but the caretaker, Ross, had some helpful tips, and the garage was priceless towards that end. We looked forward to wine in the private courtyard, but it rained every day. Phoo. The property has plenty of seating and dining supplies so we just ordered in. We will come again. This property suited our needs perfectly!

Family gathering

We were very pleased with the property. Stayed there over the Thanksgiving holiday & weekend while visiting my older daughter. Nice neighborhood & easy location to get to other parts of the city. Everything was as depicted in the description and communication with management was excellent. Would stay here again.

Great start with walkable access to Howard station for red line to downtown. Nice open layout, garden level (basement) unit. Very pleasant, and Ross was very responsive to any questions we had.

Nice Place and Location

My sister and I had the garden apartment which is sort of like a basement apartment. I didn’t realize that’s what we would get originally, but it was best for us since we are in our 70s and had to carry our own luggage.

Really nice spacious place... Clean and in quiet neighbourhood... Easy access to all points of Chicago. Large bedrooms, and extra inflatable double bed was really handy for young child. Would definitely return here for our next trip to Chicago visit.
