Hidden gem close to the university of Chester

Booked this home while visiting my son at university.Communication with the host was excellent, prompt and courteous. Was given all information upfront, and in writing… And any issues were immediately addressed. The house was extremely clean, on a quiet residential street with practically no noise. Less than a 10 minute walk to the university, and approximately a 10 minute walk into town… For shopping, dining, and sightseeing. Well equipped kitchen, full-size refrigerator…and washing machine made our stay even more convenient. Toiletries in ample amounts were provided by the host. We did not use the outdoor space due to the weather, however, it will be nice to have a place to sit and have a cocktail on warmer days. My only complaint… And this is personal, or that the beds could do with some mattress replacing a new pillows. Also, lighting in the lounge and bedrooms is limited… Could do with some updated table lamps to brighten things up, especially if a guest is visually impaired. Will definitely stay at this property again.

Nice stay

The house was nice - not as big as it looks in the pictures but these are an accurate reflection of the place overall. It’s well-located and very quiet although a map would have been very helpful. Check-in and engagement was good but we did have to wait a while for a response to a (minor) pre-arrival query. The property was generally clean and very tidy. I have extremely high expectations and there were a few small aspects that disappointed - some crumbs on the kitchen counter; a tissue under one bed and a hair band under another. Generally though, I would say it was 95% there. It was very warm even though we turned down the thermostat- they could probably save a packet by adjusting the temperature! The only really frustrating thing was the lack of towels - a small bath towel and a hand towel for each person, plus one tea towel for three days was really not enough. Overall though, the property was a good find in a lovely city.

Fantastic home from home

Brilliant location for our day at Chester races. Lovely little enclosed garden. Well equipped kitchen. Comfy lounge area and spacious bedrooms.
