Lazy Puffin is situated in the Northumberland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with its sweeping sandy beaches, stunning landscape and plenty of opportunities for walking.. All on the Ground Floor:

Private parking for 1 car. No smoking.. Lazy Puffin is a contemporary ground floor apartment situated in a block of six in the picture perfect coastal village of Beadnell. Set in the middle of another two blocks, these apartments are collectively known as Orchard Country Apartments and are idyllic retreats for couples. The accommodation within Lazy Puffin is immaculately presented throughout with a large, comfortable chaise sofa in the living room, granite worktops in the kitchen and a kingsize bed dressed in Egyptian cotton linen. Beadnell is a welcoming holiday village often acknowledged as the jewel in Northumberland’s seaside crown and where two pubs and a bistro serving foods are a mere gentle stroll from Lazy Puffin. The beautiful golden sands of Beadnell Bay are within walking distance and there are an extensive range of water sports, including sea kayaking, kite surfing and scuba diving readily available.

Only 2 miles north is the traditional port of Seahouses, where boat trips to the nearby Farne Islands – famous for its bird sanctuaries and seal colony – depart regularly. The village offers a further range of shops, pubs and tea rooms, and horse riding, fishing and golf are all available. A further 3 miles up the coastline is Bamburgh, which lies snuggled in the shadow of its majestic castle. Holy Island – the birthplace of Christianity and site of its impressive Lindisfarne Castle – can be seen from the wild expanse of sandy beach. Just a few miles inland is the historic market town of Alnwick with its own dramatic castle which is the ancestral home to the Duke of Northumberland (and film location for Harry Potter’s Hogwarts Academy). Alnwick Garden boasts the largest tree house in Europe and is also a popular visitor attraction.

Lazy Puffin is the perfect choice for couples seeking contemporary holiday accommodation within close proximity to the sweeping vista of Beadnell Bay. The bay is nestled around rolling sand dunes and idyllic for those who enjoy strolling barefoot in the sand and listening to the waves lapping in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The apartment was beautiful , everything good quality and very clean BUT holiday was spoilt by renovation work been carried out to the apartment above , hammering , sanding drilling did not give us the peaceful retreat we were looking for .
