It was a very nice stay. We were up very early because of the coffee shop below. Just know that there is a lot of sound from the bars in the evening and the coffee shop in the morning.

Perfect location! We didn’t use our car for the entire stay, the central location allowed us to walk everywhere. The beds were super comfortable and the furnishings were adorable! You could hear music from the coffee shop below, but not in the back bedroom - and the music was done before bedtime. We would definitely stay here again!

Location was great. Beds were very comfortable. Lots of room to relax. The noise from the shop below was only heard in the main living space and not in the bedrooms. Very convenient to grab morning coffee and breakfast from the shop downstairs.

Great location and cozy apartment!

We loved are stay here and the walkability to so much fun in the downtown mall. Especially loved being right on top of a great coffee shop!

This was our second time staying here and loved it! The location is perfect and the place is great. Very clean has everything that you could need. They also made improvements and you can no longer hear the coffee shop at 5am! Very grateful for this!

Great location on the downtown mall. Can easily stroll down the mall to great restaurants and shops. The apartment is clean and comfortable with 2 nice bedrooms. The music from the coffee shop downstairs can be heard, but it gave us something to remember about our trip and stay in this beautiful apartment.

An absolute steal

This place couldn’t be more perfect - right in the heart of Charlottesville with all the amenities and space you could want. The coffee shop does enjoy some morning music, but the experience was phenomenal.

Girls Weekend

Location was great for a girls getaway weekend. Beds were so comfy! Unit was clean. Only downfall was the music coming from coffee shop below, but we used sound machines that drowned out the noise. Would absolutely stay here again.

Love Connection

The location is outstanding: the apartment is in the heart of the city. You feel connected to the community, and everything Charlotte has to offer is easily accessible. We were a few doors down from the Omni, but I was happy to walk past the Omni to my urban apartment overlooking Downtown Mall

The actual apartment was nice and clean, with good furniture and things. The reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the area outside the front door was so dirty and it was a bit noisy for our liking. The homeless people outside the building detracted from the area, although we had sympathy for them. We had a nice stay, though. Thank you so much!

Great Apartment in a Great Location

The Gryphon is well-maintained, clean, spacious and in a great location on the downtown mall in Charlottesville. It also comes with access to The Common House, which has a great little rooftop bar.

Right in the heart of Charlottesville

Loved our stay. Only downside was noise from the coffee shop below. Music started at 6:30 and ran all day-it was actually as loud in the rental unit as the coffee shop!

Great home base for visits to UVA

The Gryphon was the perfect home base for a gathering with family and college friends. The location was in a great location on the downtown mall, close to hotels and restaurants. The kitchen was well stocked and the apartment very well appointed and well kept. Access to the Common House (right behind the apartment) was a nice amenity. Thanks for a great stay and we look forward to coming again.
