Cabell Cottage | 2 Bed, 1.5 Bath

Cabell Cottage is cozy cottage located off of one of Albemarle County's most beautiful thoroughfares, Garth Road. Nestled in the woods on a quiet street, you will feel rested and relaxed after a stay at this well appointed home.  With all rooms on one level, and three parking spaces in front of the house, access could not be easier! The skylights in the house bring in ample light to the rooms to make the cottage cheery and lovely in its setting in this serene neighborhood.

Walk into the house to forest views through the large living room windows. The living room, kitchen, and dining area are all open to each other.  The studio has a queen bed plus an additional twin and is located on the southern side of the house, with a newly renovated full bath attached.  Walk to the northern side of the home to an additional sitting area with cable TV.  On the far northern side of the cottage is the master suite with a king bed, screened-in porch and en suite bathroom.

What a stunning cottage in a stunning neighborhood. We adored our stay at this high end property. Although the property management was frustrating, I’m so glad we persevered!A few suggestions— the tile around the gas stove is sticky (clean), sharpen the knives (wonderful kitchen), clean the soap scum from the master bath tub walls, bleach the shower curtain (mold). Otherwise, it was immaculate.

A beautiful cottage

We had a wonderful stay at your property and truly appreciated the beautiful decor and spaciousness. The location was also fantastic for exploring the surrounding area, including Charlottesville, Monticello, and UVA. We especially loved being so close to Charlottesville while still enjoying the peaceful and tranquil environment.

Beautiful country getaway

The house is beautifully furnished and extremely comfortable. The surroundings could not be more picturesque, only a short drive to downtown Charlottesville. Would strongly recommend for a couples getaway in particular, but could also be great for a family.

Great girls' get-away!

My gal pals and I had a great stay at Cabell Cottage. There were 3 of us and we could have brought a 4th, although it would have meant a sofa bed for her.Just be aware there is only one shower but it is in a very large bathroom which was nice. The artistic flair of the cottage was so charming! We enjoyed the fireplace, but read the fine print that says "bring your own firewood." Also, there was no garbage bin for us to put trash, so we took it with us. Otherwise, the setting was phenomenal and it was just what we all needed! We would definitely return! Also, not far from downtown Charlottesville and several wineries!

Tranquil Stay

My family and I had a wonderful stay at the Cabell cottage. Absolutely everything in this home is top notch. From the bedding to the construction of the home, it all is tastefully done. There is a plethora of informational books on local history, trees, landmarks, etc. I found this cottage to be one of the most relaxing rental properties I have ever stayed at. The drive to the neighborhood is absolutely breathtaking with the rolling hills and fields around every corner. Just be careful of the deer here. Little families were walking around everywhere.

Perfect, comfortable, lovely and comforting place to stay for a family of 4!

We were in Charlottesville for our nephew’s graduation and this charming little cottage was so much more comfortable, for our family of four, than a hotel room. Loved our stay! Located in a beautiful and safe area, quiet, lovely area to walk or run—15 mins from Charlottesville dining options. Comfy beds and living area. Gorgeous views, surrounded by nature! With Family in Charlottesville, we will definitely stay here again!

C’Ville Oasis

Cabell Cottage was a C’Ville oasis! The layout was perfect for my mom and I. The two bedrooms are at opposite ends with the kitchen, dinning room, living room and sitting room between. We especially loved the private screened in porch for our morning coffee. The kitchen was well equipped for our dinner in and we were a quick ride away for our girls’ night out in downtown Charlottesville. I cannot wait to return!

Lovely property

I really enjoyed my stay at Cabell Cottage. It was as described and perfect for what we needed. Only thing we didn’t expect was the one outdoor space where we might have eaten meals outdoors did not seem entirely private as it is attached to the patio of the property owner. Perhaps I should have discerned that from the description. But I didn’t. And for my friend, who stayed in that bedroom, and myself it didn’t matter as we felt comfortable using it if we’d wanted to. The completely private screened in porch attached to the master was glorious. It was perfect for visiting over morning coffee, a late afternoon glass of wine, or just sitting and reading. It was a very comfortable guest house for some much needed r & r. I’ll definitely book again when I have occasion to be in Charlottesville. The setting was gorgeous. I envy the owners who get to live there. Oh, and PS, thank you for the book. My friend has it now and will pass it along to me when she’s finished. But we felt a kinship with you due to much of your reading material in your bookcases and we thank you for your hospitality.

Slice of Heaven

Cabell Cottage left us speechless! It was more than perfect for our girl friend reunion!! The Cottage was beyond our expectations!! The cottage was so nicely and tastefully decorated with full country charm that takes you back to another time. This serene location was convenient for our downtown concert and for our day at the wineries. We enjoyed our evenings relaxing, lighting the candles and sitting around the fireplace with the full window view of the tranquil woods to be the perfect gathering place to celebrate our friendship! The kitchen was nicely stocked with pots,pans and dishes. The bathrooms also provided several sets of luxury bath towels and the beds were so comfy we all had the best sleeps! The Cottage had a nice library of books to browse through. Loved the screen porch surrounded by woods for morning coffee chats or to read a book. We will definitely recommend Cabell Cottage and will be our go to when in Charlottesville!

Amazing cottage

My wife and I and our adult son spent a wonderful three nights at Cabell Cottage. We stayed here for a concert at the Jefferson Theater. It took us about 15 minutes to get to the parking garage on the pedestrian mall. The cottage is beautiful. It is extremely well maintained and has a nice cozy farmhouse feel. Plenty of exterior light from the large windows along the back of the cottage. We loved the wood burning stone fireplace. The kitchen is very well equipped. Check-in and check-out were very easy. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect house

We came up to Charlottesville to visit our sons at UVa parents weekend and it was the perfect place to stay. Beautiful, quaint cottage. Very clean and well- equipped. Thank you for sharing your house with us!
