Courtyard Cottage, part of the historic 1790 James Sparrow House, blends Charleston history with Casa Zoë’s signature layered design. Recently revitalized, this 2BR escape was built for connection, comfort, and a true sense of place—steps from James Beard dining, Sugar Bakeshop, and the city’s most charming boutiques.

Nice property, nice location

We stayed in unit C, the Courtyard Cottage. The location was close enough to King Street and far enough away for less crowds. It was a nicely decorated unit with nice finishes. The beds and linens were comfortable. Good coffee beans were provided for coffee, little to no noise except for some street traffic in the mornings. Quick responses to a couple small questions. Overall, nice place.

Home away from home but still on vacation

We truly enjoyed our time here. The patio area with doors open was a treat during the mild weather we had. Lots of great places to get food very close. The unit was quiet, clean and very homey feeling. I will definitely stay here on my visits to Charleston

Southern hospitality

Very unique and efficient space in such a cool historic city. Charming and historically preserved. Had nearly everything we needed. Close to everything- coffee, restaurants, bakery, rooftop etc. easy 15/20 minute walk to historic district and battery. Huge bonus is the outdoor space. We sat out on the patio every morning and evening. All questions were answered immediately. Easy process. Highly recommend. Only small issue was nothing opens early. Even coffee shops and convenience stores open 730 at the very earliest.

Cute & comfortable (but a little loud)

The property was very cute, perfect size for 2, and great location. The only drawback was the loud neighbors. This is one of 3 units that share walls and a courtyard and the other units could be heard walking above us, hanging out outside on the porch, and generally enjoying themselves late into the night (every night we were there. Besides that, it was great.

Girls Trip

Had a great time in Charleston at this VRBO. Perfect size for the 3 of us. Enjoyed sitting on the little patio (between the rain showers), great location to walk to King Street and all the great restaurants. We had rented a car so was nice to have an assigned parking spot off the street. Definitely heard the “neighbors” upstairs, but usually the noise wasn’t too early or too late in the day. Would definitely stay here again!

Awesome spot all around

We enjoyed this property because it was well designed and appointed, and was perfect for living both indoors and out. The way the patio is located with access from the kitchen, the living room and a window to the master bedroom makes you feel like the outdoors is part of the space. And we brought our tiny dogs, and the patio gave them a space to be outside that was easily contained. Because the unit was technically on the lower level, it gave great space above to bring in the light and the air, without being on the same level as anyone walking by. The owners were very flexible and accommodating to let us add a day before and a day after - and we wish we could have stayed longer. We'll definitely consider staying at this location again. It was lovely.

Comfortable and Stylish Apartment

We staid three nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The house is beautifully restored and the apartment is very chic with exposed brick in the kitchen and lovely patio with a table and chairs where you can eat a meal just relax. The host gave us a list of recommended restaurants, all within easy walking distance. The apartment is three blocks to the restaurants and shops on King Street. For us, the real treat was walking the Cannonborough Elliotborough neighborhood with so many houses being beautifully restored. Highly recommend this place.

Adorable, perfect location

Beautiful apartment, recently renovated. Perfect little place. Love the patio with French doors for both the kitchen and living room. Location is perfect to walk to King, also went to Browns Court Bakery multiple times. Absolutely love having the parking - so crucial downtown. They are currently doing construction close to the property - not too loud but good to know. Of course it’s always like that in Charleston. Would most definitely stay here again!

Everything you’ll need - including peace

This cute property was located within walking distance to King Street - food and shopping! Had everything we needed for our stay. Really enjoyed the multiple (powerful) ac units in each room so every guest was able to stay perfectly comfortable regardless of their temperature desire. Nice updated kitchen and bathroom as well. But the highlight was the history of the property! Thanks to our hosts for their kindness and thoughtfulness going in to providing peace of mind for a memorable get-a-way!
