Mare Civitas (Penthouse) is a newly renovated modern apartment that proudly stands in the majestic city of Chania. It is only a 3-minute walk from the incredible, fully equipped sandy beach and a 15-minute walk from the old town and the Venetian harbor. Renovated in 2017 in a modern style, this apartment is ready to provide you with unforgettable holiday moments and comfortable accommodation in its ideal location for both beach relaxation and exploring the famous town of Chania.



This apartment is elegantly and stylishly furnished, both inside and outside, decorated with a luxurious touch and equipped with all the conveniences one could wish for. Mare Civitas Penthouse (40 sq.m.) is situated on the third floor and is designed in an open-plan style for your ultimate comfort, making it particularly suitable for families with children.



The apartment features a cozy bedroom with twin beds and an adjoining bathroom. The comfortable living room is connected to a fully equipped open-plan kitchen with a dining table. The apartment is equipped with all modern appliances, including a TV, washing machine, coffee maker, toaster, oven, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, hairdryer, refrigerator, and more.



The living room opens to a spacious terrace, complete with a sitting area, furniture, an umbrella, and lounge chairs. We are confident that you will spend many hours on this terrace, enjoying breakfast, dinner, or precious family moments. The apartment provides a sense of privacy and freedom, creating a wonderfully secluded atmosphere.



Within walking distance from the apartment, you'll find numerous tavernas and cafe shops. In just a few minutes' walk, you can reach the heart of the old town of Chania and its magnificent Venetian old port. Additionally, you can access the modern part of the town with a wide variety of cultural events, tourist attractions, and all the amenities you could need.



Please note that as of January 1, 2018, a new government tax has been introduced for all reservations in hotels and apartments, which is not included in the total price provided. The extra cost is 0.50 euros per night and should be paid directly in cash on the spot.

Ophold i NEO chora

Området pragtfuld, beliggenheden fin- udsigt og terrasse fin- men bad og stue/ køkken trænger til en opgradering, lille bord i stuen, kunne ikke bruges - Rengørings damen var det sødeste menneske og prøve det bedste sammen med manden, da vi 2 gange ikke kunne komme ind på grund af strømsvigt.

Great location for Chania old town

Nicely presented apartment for 2. We loved the terrace and the 2 minute walk to the beach. Chania old town was a short walk away and plenty of places to visit with a car.

Disappointing

The VRBO website featured pictures of inside of the apartment are accurate BUT the outside pics are somewhat misleading. The view is of other roofs and is sort of industrial with only a tiny view of the sea. The evening sounds included barking dogs cars, crying babies and occasional loud music. The unit is supplied with bare minimum of supplies. (e.g.. no salt or dishwasher detergent, few cooking utensils and minimal and barely sufficient bedding/pillow/towels.) Some of the lights did not work. The shower worked but some of the features were broken. Be aware that there is not an elevator and you will have to ascend 60 stairs to get to the unit. The only positive is that the unit is about two blocks from the beach. The maid was friendly. Would not book again or recommend to a friend.

This was a nice apartment in a good location, and we enjoyed our stay there.

The apartment was clean and well-equipped, although we found that the cooking pots needed to be washed and there was mouldy coffee in a filter in the coffee maker. Fortunately there was a dishwasher, also a washing machine, but it would have been very helpful to have a small amount of cooking supplies (salt and pepper, sugar, oil, dishwasher and/or washing machine detergent) to help us through the first day or so.The location was quiet and within walking distance of restaurants, beaches and the Venetian harbor. We had a problem a couple of times with hot water for showers, but that was fixed on our last day there. The shower stall appeared to be leaking, which meant there was quite a puddle of water on the floor to wipe up. Our contact with the owner/manager was very good and helpful. We enjoyed being able to spend time on the terrace, and in general we enjoyed our stay in Chania.

Excellent Apartment

Great apartment, I loved the large terrace in particular. Location could not be better. So close to the beach and local restaurants. Old town centre and harbour only 20 mins stroll away. Ticked all the boxes for us.
