Welcome to Casa di Sonia from the sea of the Gulf of Salerno

Located in the historic site of the Towers, the residence A casa di Sonia is an oasis of peace and tranquility immersed in greenery just a few steps from the famous Amalfi Coast. Located at the highest point of a hill it enjoys an exceptionally open panoramic view that allows you to range from the sea to the profile of the Vesuvius.

Relax while sipping an aperitif by the pool, strolling in the garden or in the nearby pine forest, reading a book near the fish tank, or, in the evening, enjoying a barbecue on the terrace are some of the experiences that guests can enjoy.
For those wishing to explore the riches of Campania, its strategic position between Naples, Salerno and the Amalfi coast makes it ideal for excursions to the archaeological sites of Pompeii, Herculaneum, Paestum, the coastal villages of Positano, Amalfi, Ravello, and the splendid Ischia islands , Capri and Procida.

The accommodation


The villa, recently restored, is arranged on several levels, divided into two independent zones if necessary.
Both units are equipped with every comfort: the terracotta floors with exposed beams, xx stones and Vietri majolica, the arches and the attention to detail give a warm welcoming feeling inside

On the first floor there is a large living room with a stone fireplace, a double bedroom and a bathroom with a large underground bath. A few steps lead to a spacious kitchen-diner, which opens onto the outdoor pool.
On the mezzanine floor, there are two large double bedrooms, both with terrazino where it is possible to have breakfast while admiring the surrounding greenery and the sea in the distance.
Both The two rooms are served by a bathroom entirely in terracotta with a stone shower.
The second area of the house, on the upper floor, is characterized by large arched windows overlooking the valley, a living room with a terrace, two bedrooms, one double and the other single, a dining room kitchen completely covered with Vietri tiles and a dining area with fireplace.
Overall the villa can accommodate up to 10.


Outside the garden is surrounded by tall trees, flower beds and a lawn area.
The swimming pool shared by guests is equipped with a large panoramic sun terrace.


Guests have access to private parking outside.

Amalfi 2024

We stayed as a group of 8 Friends for one week. The Villa ist even more beautiful than the pictures can show. Views to the sea as well as to mount vesuvio. Well equipped, easy to cook for 8 people, enough rooms, beds, Sheets, bathrooms etc. Contact was easy, precise, fast and very friendly! Ride there is a bit bumpy - typical Italia - but Riccardo helped out to find the way. Allover great experience, all of us can only recommend to stay there! Riccardo helped out. Alway.

We truly enjoyed the lovey Casa Di Sonia home, it was perfect for relaxing and centrally located with a short ride to great areas such as Naples, Amalfi, Positano and much, much more. Wonderful properly, a shame about the pool.

Overall the villa is great and large enough to enjoy the space. We were only 4 adults though. There are two sides to upstairs, one is like a separate apartment complete and private from the main house if you want it to be, with its own entrance. The area is remote but drivable to Cava di Torreni. There is a very local restaurant and store for everything you may need, which can be walkable. The house is at the very top of the hill up posts of cobbled turning roads, a small car is required, but plenty of space for 3 multiple cars. The views were amazing, seeing the towns and sea as well as Vesuvius from the pool deck. Sadly there were a few things that really let the villa down. The major one was algae growth in the unheated pool. On checkin it was vivid cloudy green. The pool wasn’t cleaned in time for our checkin. They tried to clean it a few times but the pool was not usable for the duration. The reason we booked the villa was because of the pool. The owner refused any compensation and because a little argumentative about it. The water did clear but there was algae grouped all over the bottom and sides of the pool. We had to find the fuse box to turn many things on, the kitchen upstairs and some lighting outside. Mushrooms were growing out of a window. The only rooms with AC were the upstairs bedroom and upstairs lounge, and they were not at all powerful enough. They also turned up randomly at times and early to clean at checkout whilst smoking.

Beautiful villa, a car is definately needed

A lovely villa, lots of room, the pool was very cold and we went in August which was a shame as it would have been nice to swim. The villa is a fair way from cava de tirreni, you have to drive at least 10 mins to the nearest supermarket. The drive up to the villa is very steep but you get used to it, a car is absolutely essential. We had a lovely holiday in beautiful Amalfi.

Birthday/Girls Trip

Me and 6 of my closest friends celebrated my 52nd Birthday. The property was absolutely beautiful the pictures just don’t do it justice very picturesque my only draw is that it’s not a whole lot to do in Cava but if you want to relax and have total privacy and seclusion then this is the place for you. Be sure before you go to have transportation set up in advance 😊

Fantastisk ophold

Vi var afsted med familien ( 6 voksne ) og havde et fantastisk ophold med mange oplevelser i området. Vi nød også stilheden på toppen af "bjerget" når der var hviledage. Husets køkken og faciliteter er top og der var rigtig god hjælp til at komme op til huset og kommunikationen med Riccardo som vært er hurtig og klar. Vi kan kun anbefale dette skønne sted !

Spectacular views from big, comfortable house

Fantastic place! I will be thinking about watching the sun set over Mt Vesuvius with the Mediterranean visible to the south while swimming in the pool or eating dinner outside for a long time. Well appointed kitchen and the house worked really well for our two kids. The location is convenient for exploring the region if you have a car. The only downside is that the road to the house from the freeway takes some getting used to as you wind your way through a village and then on a narrow dirt road for the last little bit.

Beautiful Casa di Sonia

We loved our stay at Casa di Sonia. The house is fantastic and our host was very attentive. The house is at the very top of the hill with stunning 360 views including Mt. Vesuvius and the sea. As mentioned in some reviews the first drive up is a little intimidating, but you really do get used to it - about a 10-minute ride to the main road going to Salerno. Salerno (a 25-minute drive depending on traffic) has a terrific old to explore, easy access to the Amalfi ferry boats, and DO NOT miss the old village of Cava de Tirreni filled with medieval streets, shops, and restaurants a block or 2 west of the main line and the train station. There is a small market not far (15-minute walk; 5-minute drive) and check out La Baita restaurant (10-minute walk) - highly recommend the pizzas.

Villa on the Mountain

An absolutely beautiful villa, everything a couple or family could need for their vacation. The full villa easily can accommodate a group / family of 10. The one slight drawback is the drive up the mountain. You need to be very attentive that your mapping program does not try to take you to the backside of the property. The ground are lovely, the pool deck / patio extraordinarily large, albeit the pool in April is a bit invigorating. Communication with the property manager is easy and they are very prompt. I would not hesitate to reserve this villa in the future. It is very centrally located to many Campagnia destinations; Paestum, Pompeii, Sorrento, Amalfi coast, & Napoli. You will not be disappointed…

The most stunning villa with amazing vistas

The pictures of this property do not do it justice. This was an amazing place to stay for a week while visiting the amalfi coast. If you are planning on seeing all the coastal towns I recommend staying here as it is better connected and more relaxed than those places. The nearby town Cava di Tirreni has a great nighttime atmosphere for dinner and drinks under the 15th century portico main street. The drive to the villa can seem daunting on the first try but you honestly get used to it. Also being high up on the hill means that it is a lot cooler on the evening so much more comfortable to sleep.

Traumlage

Wir haben mit Familie und Freunden eine Woche in der Casa Sonja verbracht. Der check-in mit Riccardo war super geplant, freundlich und allumfassend. Das Haus liegt wunderbar auf einer Kuppe mit phantastischer Aussicht, einer großen Terrasse und einem ebenso großen Pool. Es gibt viel Platz im Aussenbereich und auch im Haus selber hat man viel Raum sich zusammen zu setzen aber auch um sich zurückzuziehen. Die Bäder sind schön und neu, die Zimmer ebenso. Auch die Küche ist Picobelo. Ein paar Küchenutensilien könnten das Repertoir noch ergänzen. Riccardo hat uns immer prompt und sehr freundlich und kompetent beraten und bei verschiedenen Dingen organisatorisch geholfen, das haben wir sehr geschätzt. Und natürlich kann man im Umfeld von Casa Sonia jede Menge Kultur und Natur erleben und bestaunen. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen!

Magnifique expérience

Maison en hauteur avec une vue imprenable sur la baie. Maison très agréable, confortable, propre et une très belle décoration. La véritable dolce vita est là!!! Riccardo est très facilement joignable et toujours disponible pour apporter un soutien ou une aide. Je recommande et prendrai plaisir à y retourner. La maison est suffisamment grande pour 2 familles!

Huge villa on mountain top with swimming pool and fantastic sea view

We spent a week in this beautiful villa with friends. It has so much space, stylish Italian interior and a fantastic view. The landlord was very supportive and always ready to help. I can only recommend it! It is a good starting point for excursions to all the touristic attractions in the area. There is small supermarket in the village and some nice restaurants in walking distance.

Beautiful spacious villa with superb 360 view

We had a lovely stay in Sonia’s villa. Beautiful big house and tastefully decorated. Large swimming pool and big garden and terrace with a view on the Mediterranean Sea on one side and Vesuvio and Napoli suburbs on the other side. All kind of (kitchen) facilities are there and Riccardo was proactive and very helpfull. We had a lovely week and highly recommand this accomodation and if we visit the region again, we for shore will book the villa again. Simons family, Amsterdam
