Isla La Curiosa is a beachfront house hidden away in Punta Blanca, Barú — a corner of the Colombian Caribbean where time seems to move a little slower.

Surrounded by turquoise sea, white sand, and vibrant tropical nature, this experience was created for travelers seeking privacy, silence, and a deeper connection with their surroundings. There is no mass tourism or constant noise here; the true protagonists are the sound of the sea, the Caribbean breeze, and the feeling of being far away from everything.

The house is built entirely out of wood and features three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a kitchen, living and dining areas, and outdoor spaces directly facing the sea.

Two of the bedrooms have private balconies with Caribbean sea views, while the third bedroom, located on the ground floor, offers exclusive direct access to the white sand and the Caribbean Sea just behind the house.

The stay includes local cooking service for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks prepared with fresh local products. Groceries and food supplies are charged separately.

We also offer additional experiences organized by our local team, including snorkeling, diving, Rosario Islands tours, and private boat trips.

Isla La Curiosa is not a conventional luxury experience. The true luxury here is the location, the tranquility, the unforgettable sunsets, and the feeling of spending a few days completely connected to the most authentic side of the Caribbean.

Because of the house’s absolute proximity to the sea, the wind, the sound of the waves, and nature itself are an essential part of the experience. Depending on the season, seaweed or changing weather conditions typical of the Caribbean environment may appear. However, our local team is always attentive to keeping the beach and all outdoor areas as clean and comfortable as possible for our guests.

The house is designed for rest, connection, and shared moments. Music is welcome as long as it remains respectful of the peaceful atmosphere of the area and the neighboring homes.

To access Isla La Curiosa, guests first arrive by land to the town of Barú and then take a private boat through the beautiful mangroves for approximately 7 minutes until reaching the property. The boat ride has an additional cost of COP $70,000 per trip and the boat can accommodate approximately 10 people.

A few minutes away by foot, there is a more secluded beach perfect for disconnecting, reading, meditating, or simply enjoying the silence of the Caribbean.

Very close to the house you will also find the exclusive Sabai beach club and Hotel Carey, perfect for guests who wish to explore different atmospheres during their stay.
