Your getaway is also convenient to downhill and cross-country ski destinations. For those who love to hike or snowshoe, there are plenty of popular trails to explore nearby. Come to Carnelian Bay and experience the beauty of Lake Tahoe.

Your cabin is a 6-minute walk to Carnelian West Beach, and Kings Beach State Recreation Area awaits in a 10-minute drive.

Winter sports lovers are close to an array of popular mountain resorts. Northstar Resort is 11.5 miles from home, and Tahoe Cross Country Ski Area is 3.7 miles away. Hike or snowshoe the revered Tahoe Rim Trail in 6.5 miles.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. No more dogs are allowed.
Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Cute Place, but managed poorly

The cabin was cute and in a great location, however, upon arrival, we found hair in the shower drain, bird feces dried on the outside table, and broken outside chairs. Additionally, there were screens on only half of the windows so we were unable to open the windows to cool off the cabin that is not air conditioned (the advertisement did state the lack of air conditioning) which was disappointing and uncomfortable, although fans were available. We had 4 family members in our party, but only 4 towels and 1 wash cloth was available. We contacted the management company the first night about our concerns, but there wasn’t any response until the last day of our trip. We were also told to just look around in the draws for additional towels and that there were just a set amount of towels in the place. Lastly, we never could get either of the tv’s to work, and when we reached out to the management company regarding the issue, we were contacted at 3:20 pm the night before we were going to leave to get it fixed. Be prepared to bring towels, kitchen paper product (plastic wrap/aluminum foil, etc) and shampoo, conditioner, and soap because those were not fully stocked. The cabin is close to the beach and in a great neighborhood. Unfortunately, we will never stay at a property managed by Vacasa.

Easy access to beach. We enjoyed morning working to beach with our dog. Kids enjoyed playing with snow around the house. Kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed family time in the house. We drove to nearby regional park which was so nice to playing snow and walking our dog.

Excellent weekend trip

The house was clean, close to the lake, and pet friendly! Arriving was no hassle with everything working exactly as expected. The only note I could add is that it’s easier to find the house from Olive street. Apple Maps does not like this address for directions

Marginal property

1-During hot weather, it is recommended to open windows for cross ventilation due to no air conditioning. Problem is half the windows have no screens. 2-The living room furniture is very old and smells. We did not use it due to the condition. 3-The outside porch is very worn and cobwebs everywhere. An annual washing could improve the deck tremendously. 4-You do not deal with the owner. They use a property management company that is not very helpful. 5-The amenities were minimal. One set of towels and no Kleenex tissues. Would not rebook this property for the price we paid!

Overall great. The contact is more of a property management company and a bit impersonal. I have stayed elsewhere where the contact is the homeowner. Anyway, nice place.

Family getaway for four!

This was the perfect cabin for my husband and I and our son and his fiancé - just the right size. So close to beautiful Lake Tahoe, fun dining close by and gorgeous weather in which to enjoy. The best part of our rental was the wonderful hiking trails right above the neighborhood- so convenient to walk your dog! And the best neighbors who introduced themselves and were so friendly and helpful. Wonderful time!

Modern, comfortable, spacious house

Our group of 5 friends were super comfortable here in the middle of winter. The snow was packed many feet above the windows, but the driveway was plowed just enough for our 4wd and a sedan (had a bit of trouble coming out after the 2nd night's snowfall). Heating was effective and there were extra space heaters if we needed. Kitchen was super modern, we cooked all our meals here, and all the appliances worked well. The place was spacious and we were able to play our large board games and all of the areas were well lit.
