Cecilia's House - Sea View Apartment

  • Cecilia's House is located in the timeless and traditional village called Garden of the Sea. The small and charming Bed and Breakfast located in the corner of the village surrounded by gardens and views to the Atlantic Ocean.

    The Sea View Apartment is a one bedroom apartment that has a private bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen and a living room with a sofa and two twin beds. The living room is the best part of the apartment with a beautiful sea view.

    Cecília is the first Host in the village, a passion that started with an accident when a surfer wondered at the beautiful waves, and at the end of the day needed a place to stay, the hosting adventure started. Cecília's House is surrounded by flowers and views to the sea, and this natural environment can be your home with the caring and always available host Cecilia.

    Hélder is Cecilia's, the one that takes care of the reservation and communication to help with the language barrier before the guests arrive in the beautiful location. Hélder is always available to assist, even if during the stay the Host is Cecilia.

    Free breakfast is available every morning (8 am to 11 am)

    It is requested by Portuguese law for the guest to present the ID or passport upon check-in time.

    The common areas are shared between the Guests and the Host, the property has a fully equipped kitchen and a living room exclusive for Guests use. The outside balcony is perfect for meals, relaxing and enjoying the view, and a magical garden surrounded by flowers and the Ocean.

    The village has free parking in the center, from there is 5 minutes walk following the "Cecilia's House" signs.

Beautiful location

We enjoyed our short stay at Cecilia's House, it has a hostel vibe with a nook with games and a patio area to hangout. The views can't be beat and the location was just a short walk to town.

The view from the room was amazing. Cute little neighborhood. Very clean and host were friendly. Unfortunately, the main tunnel was closed so it was a major detour to get in and out every time… probably 25 min extra to the trip. Rent a car if possible. We left the window open at night and has some creepy crawler friends visit us but this is typical of an island like this…

wundervoll

Wir waren zu dritt 2 Wochen bei Cecilia. Bei unserer Ankunft in Jardim do Mar war Cecilias Haus für uns erstmal schwer zu finden. Es ist ein sehr verwinkelter kleiner Ort mit schmalen Gässchen, die Unterkunft ist nur zu Fuß zugänglich... vom Parkplatz aus ca.5 min. Ganz am ende der kleinen Gasse öffnet sich der Blick zum Meer, es ist wundervoll dort. Es gibt eine kleine Treppe ganz in der Nähe des Hauses über die man direkt zum Meer gelangt, allerdings ist es ein kleiner "Strand" und es sind sehr große Steine dort. Wer es liebt abends noch am Meer zu sitzen und ganz nah dran zu sein kommt hier voll auf seine Kosten. Zum baden eher ungeeignet da der Zugang ins Meer eher schwierig ist. Cecilia ist Toll und eine sehr sehr hilfsbereite Gastwirtin der das Wohl ihrer Gäste wirklich sehr am Herzen liegt! Als ich mir meinen Fuß zerstört hatte und fast nicht mehr auftreten konnte brachte sie mir Krücken, Als ich dringend einen Drucker brauchte half sie mir ebenso weiter. Die Verständigung mit Cecilia war schwierig aber machbar, sie selbst und auch ihr Mann können nur wenig Englisch. Sie fand aber immer eine Mitarbeiterin oder jemand anderen der Übersetzen Konnte, Helders Englisch ist einwandfrei. Auch wir hatten einmal Trouble mit gewissen ziemlich widerlichen Krabbeltieren in der Wohnung, Cecilia wusste schnelle Abhilfe, und erklärte uns daß wir keine Lebensmittel in der Wohnung offen stehen lassen dürfen und den Müll IMMER nach draußen bringen müssen. Danach war alles gut.
