If you are traveling to the Açores (Azores), I highly recommend a stop on Pico Island. The unique landscape of volcanic rock, historical vineyards, and Mount Pico jutting out of the center of the island are breathtaking. You can stay on the island, or if you prefer, you can stay in Horta on Faial Island and take the ferry across for the day. Here, we captured the pinks of the sunset reflecting on Mount Pico as we pulled out of the ferry station in Madalena, headed back to Horta. #InStone #VolcanicRock #MountPico #Azores

Das Haus ist wirklich groß, gut eingerichtet. Es hat eine schöne überdachte Terrasse und ist zu Fuß 25 min vom Hafen entfernt.Leider riecht es in der Küche und in einigen Schlafräumen sehr nach Schimmel, so dass unsere Freunde das Schlafzimmer gewechselt haben (es gab ja genügend) und auf das Kochen ...

We had a lovely stay at the Azoris Faial Garden hotel. Fabulous views of Pico island and lovely hotel grounds. Food was very good, plenty of choice at breakfast and all food clearly labelled for allergens. The only thing missing was tea and coffee making facilities in the room.
