The village has been developed around the cotton mill and is near to Water-cum-Jolly, a beautiful river gorge with limestone cliffs. The village is conveniently located for enjoying the wonderful Peak District and the many attractions it offers including castles, caverns, historic houses, and many outdoor activities.
