From the hilltops, superb panoramic views extend across Clew Bay to Clare Island, once a stronghold of the Pirate Queen, Gráinne Uaile. The popular town of Westport is well worth a visit with a wide range of shops, restaurants, pubs and bars, and is alive with traditional music and rich Irish heritage.
