"This property is old but quaint. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The bathroom has an old-time sink and there is no flat space for the things you use in the bathroom. We were on the second floor of three but there is no elevator. The breakfast choice was unique and great. You receive a certificate for a local restaurant. Overall we would stay again."

"We had a lovely stay. We stayed in the suite, so we were able to bring our pups too. The owners were so helpful in finding things to do, places to eat, and just telling us a little history of the area. Their breakfast was amazing too, with eggs straight from the chickens they raise! Overall, we had a wonderful time."

"This is an offsite motel with no manager on duty to take of any incidents. We had to call just to get the wifi password since it wasn't provided. Motels that have onsite managers are better kept up. This motel needs to be remodeled and updated badly. Stains in the bathroom, part of the mirror gone and the curtains shredded and ready to fall apart. Yikes!"

"Fantastic room! Great for couples! Fans and air-conditioning kept the room nice and cool. Shower was amazing. Everything was very clean! Cons- There are no hooks in the bathroom sink area to hang your hand towels. There was only a small square table right next to the toilet, where you could put your items and the hand towels, which was very awkward. The bed was just okay; it was sinking in the middle. "Excellent location and beach view. Very clean and spacious room. Nice fridge and microwave. Staff is very nice and accommodating. Built in the 60s it is part of the history that makes the outer banks a great place to vacation! "

"The oceanfront room we reserved in advance was the one we got. Room itself was immaculate. Staff friendly and helpful. Proximity to the beach was the best! Ocean water temperature was perfect! Lots of places around to eat. Definitely plan on returning next year."

"We love this rustic little place with their little cottages just steps from the sand. Beach properties that are older are expected to be a little more rustic than the new ones. However, I did notice some fresh paint, and they try to keep up with the decor which really doesn't matter to me one way or the other.
