Jackie's cabin is full of gems and surprises. Guests say the pictures don't do this property justice! As soon as you arrive, you will be whisked back in time, 142 years to be exact, to the 1880s. This cozy cabin has tons of character which includes original beamed ceilings, original clear grained Douglas Fir floors. You can tell your friends that you got to stay in one of the oldest homes in Buena Vista. Even though the cabin is rustic it has many modernized features...Wi-fi, TV, fully stocked kitchen - including an air fryer and Keurig coffee maker, brand new gas fire place, washer/dryer, etc. The natural light in living room and dining room is great for a work vacation.
The cabin is so conveniently located - walking distance to shopping, parks, and restaurants. The neighborhood is very quiet.
A fenced in yard so your children and pets can play in safety. The magical garden is adorned with such a variety of mountain flowers. Several water fountains are "splashed" throughout the gardens along with many fun and pretty decorations. One of the few rentals that you can roast marshmallows over a fit pit ...as long as there are no fire restrictions. In the "court yard" area there's plenty of seating as you wait for your hamburgers to get done on the gas grill.

It's no wonder our property has inspired many writers and creatives after even a short stint with us. A pioneer of its time, you will feel, smell, and almost taste the history and energy this quaint, eclectic space has to offer.
Your stay at Jackie's cabin will have your imagination running as wild as flora and fauna in the shrubbery. We pay homage to that with an 1880s cozy frontier-style abode; step back in time into your own movie set.

No visit is complete without bonding and bonfires as you roast marshmallows and swap stories around the fire pit in her eclectic courtyard. With plenty of seating and guaranteed warmth from the propane heater for the cooler nights, entertaining around the BBQ could not be more Instagram-able. Oh and don't forget your guitar!

Balmy summer nights, clear skies, just the mountains and the stars. On a clear, moonless night, you can view the Milky Way in her full magnificent beauty.

We welcome you to bring up to 2 pets, for just $25 per dog, per stay. Just make sure you don't leave evidence of your pet's stay!

Great Cabin space and yard (for dogs)

The cabin is excellent overall. Well maintained w/ plenty of character as well. The kitchen is well updated with pretty well all you could want. Living space is good too for probably up to 4-5 ppl. The outdoor space is probably one of the best parts. My dog loved the full wrap-around yard (fenced) so he could do zoomies or chase possible critters. It was like his domain to keep him occupied. There is great common space outside as well for a party of more ppl to really enjoy I would highly recommend and hope to stay again.

Cozy cabin for perfect mountain getaway

We had a wonderful stay at this charming cabin! The cozy atmosphere made it feel like a true home away from home perfect for a relaxing getaway. Everything was spotless when we arrived, with simple and easy to follow instructions. The host and manager were very helpful and responsive. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful and well-kept retreat.

Beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. Lisa, the property manager was very helpful and gave us some good tips about local happenings. The garden is lovely and full of hummingbirds. It’s a nice little oasis in the mountains!

Wonderful Stay in CB!

Loved our stay at the cabin. Our dogs loved it even more. Communication with Lisa, property manager was great. Super easy. Such a special property, hope to stay again sometime.

Comfy Cabin

Came to Buena Vita last year for a day trip, came back this year for a longer stay with our 2 dogs. Jackie's cabin had everything we all needed for a very comfortable stay. Cabin in a quiet neighborhood but only 5-10 minutes from grocery store, restaurants, shops and downtown. Cabin had a large, fenced in, grassy backyard that our dogs loved with great views of the mountains :) Hope to stay here stay here again in the future.

Adorable rustic getaway

We spent a couple of nights there while visiting the local hot springs. It was a great location! It was still wintertime, but I could see that the huge yard was going to be a magical place to hang out in the summer! Guess we’ll have to go back then!

Wonderful cabin near downtown Bueno Vista Colorado

This is a wonderful cabin on a quit lot in Bueno Vista Colorado. It is very well equipped and very cozy with the gas fireplace. We stayed during the winter and enjoyed the Mt Princeton hot springs just 20 minutes away. The area is beautiful surrounded by 14,000 ft peaks. The yard is spacious and awesome for pets. We would like to return in the summer and enjoy the many outdoor activities that abound in this area.

Coolest little cabin!

Comfortable stay in an updated 1880 cabin

Such a fun place to stay! There are fun decorations in every room as well as original treasures such as tin ceilings in the kitchen (which is thoroughly updated) and - claw foot tub in the bathroom. The property manager Lisa is friendly and responsive, even going the extra mile to add jigsaw puzzles to their stash of entertainment options. The yard is especially fun and worth the visit all by itself We had wonderful stay

Perfect little Cabin!

From the reservation to the check out Lisa the property manager was amazing. She made sure we had everything we needed and gave us great recommendations!The cabin itself was great! It definitely felt like a cabin, and my son absolutely loved it. It has everything you could possibly need for a get away whether you have plans or just want to stay in.All in all we had a great time, it was a great place. I would highly recommend this property and will definitely visit again.

Weekend getaway

We enjoyed this rustic cabin with a modernized kitchen and laundry. The fenced in yard was a bonus with our pups. Beds were comfortable and a nice bathroom.
