Villa Barberino is a splendid stone farmhouse with annex, located in the municipality of Bucine (province of Arezzo), near the Chianti Classico area.
The villa is surrounded by a large private garden with lawn, where you can find a covered lounge area (furnished with a sofa and armchairs) and a covered dining area (with a table for 18 people).
The outdoor spaces are embellished by a lovely swimming pool (12 x 6 m), provided with steps (for entry/exit), sunbeds and outdoor shower. The swimming pool can be heated at an extra cost.
Near the pool there is an annex with Jacuzzi, sink and shower.
Lastly, at guests' disposal a barbecue and a wood-burning oven, ideal for alfresco lunches.
The villa enjoys maximum privacy and a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside.

Attractions
Villa la Barberino is located in the municipality of Bucine (province of Arezzo), in the heart of the Valdambra valley.
The nearest village is Ambra (5 km) where you can find restaurants, groceries and some shops.
The Valdambra valley is one of the most beautiful valleys of Tuscany, crossed by the Ambra stream and placed on the natural boundary with the mountains of Southern Chianti, in a strategic location, right in the centre of the triangle formed by the cities of Arezzo, Florence and Siena.
Rich in woods, vineyards and olive groves, the Valdambra valley is characterised by little hamlets with ancient walls, forts and castles, but also rural buildings and farmhouses, which still preserve the rural flavour of the Tuscan countryside.
The proximity to the Chianti Classico region - known worldwide for the prestigious wine – allows you to visit its charming villages such as Gaiole, Radda and Castellina. Even Siena, a splendid medieval city full of tradition and artistic masterpieces, is near, just 40 minutes away by car.
For sports lovers, we recommend to walk along the charming paths through the woods or reach the polo club and the riding centre (located in the vicinity of the villa).
Wellness lovers can, instead, take some pleasant and relaxing baths in the hot sulfur springs of Rapolano Terme (13 km).
Lastly, if you love shopping, we suggest to visit The Prada Outlet (23 km).

Interior Description
The whole property consists of the main building and a separate dependance, and can accommodate up to 20 people for a total of 9 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms.
Please note that there is no air conditioning, but a modern under-floor cooling system (throughout the villa).

Main building: The main building is set on 2 floors and can accommodate up to 16 people.
On the ground floor there is a living area divided as follows: a dining room with a table for 18 people, a large living room (with sofa, armchairs, satellite tv, fireplace and direct access to the garden), a renovated, fully equipped kitchen (with oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, slicer, kettle and breakfast table).
Also on the ground floor you will find 2 double bedrooms (one with direct access to the garden), both with ensuite bathroom. One of these two bathrooms is equipped for disabled people, however please note that there are many steps to access the spaces and the garden of the villa.
The upper floor, reacheable by climbing a staircase, houses the sleeping area divided as follows: 2 suites both with a four-poster double bed, an extra single bed and an ensuite bathroom with shower; 3 twin bedrooms each with two single beds (that can be joined together) and a bathroom with shower.

Dependance: The dependance is independent and separated from the main building. It is spread over 2 floors and can sleep up to 4 people.
On the ground floor you will find a twin bedroom (with two single beds that can be joined together) and an ensuite bathroom with shower.
On the first floor there is another twin bedroom (with two single beds that can be joined together) with ensuite bathroom with shower and independent access from the garden.

Our Opinion​
Amazing stone farmhouse with dependance, equipped with many amenities (swimming pool, Jacuzzi, tv, Wi-Fi Internet connection, barbecue). Ideal accomodation for families or groups of friends who wish to spend a holiday in the heart of the Tuscan countryside. The property is, in fact, perfectly located between Siena, Arezzo and Florence, bordering the Chianti Classico area.
