    . Situado junto al pintoresco río Duddon, uno de los lugares favoritos de Wordsworth, Whistling Green permite un fácil acceso a los lagos de Windermere y Coniston. Este ala cómoda de la tradicional casa de campo Cumbria del propietario, ubicada en medio acre de terreno compartido, está rodeada de páramos abiertos con ovejas pastando y maravillosas vistas del valle. El área ofrece caminar, navegar y montar a caballo en Coniston, el ferrocarril Ravenglass & Eskdale y un emocionante viaje por el paso Hardknott para visitar el Fuerte Romano y mucho más. Las familias disfrutarán de la playa de arena y guijarros en Silecroft (8 millas). Compre ½ milla, un pub local que sirve excelente comida a 3 millas del valle.

Just what the doctor ordered!

If you need a relaxing place to unwind from the stresses of life, you will struggle to find a better place than this. Within minutes of entering the cottage, we felt relaxed by the cottage & location alike. With sheep all around, the stream nearby and the incredible peaks around, it was a perfect place to spend a week. The log fire was the best part, making the home cozy and giving it a very homely feel. We could have stayed for a month and thanks to this beautiful cottage, have fallen in love with the lake district and already planning our next trip.

Superb cottage in an idyllic location.

Superb cottage in an idyllic location. The Duddon Valley is a well kept secret, probably one of the most beautiful valleys in the Lake District. The cottage is very cosy and full of character. The highlight of the holiday was taking breakfast and enjoying an evening sundowner in the beautifully manicured gardens of Whistling Green. There are many walks from the cottage, albeit not the largest of fells in the locality, nonetheless the views from the tops are stunning. Due to Covid, we could not visit the amenities, however, we will most definitely return to try them out! Thank you Phil for being a superb host. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Were greeted with a fresh pot of tea and biscuits which was welcome after our journey. Has everything you need but make sure you bring groceries with you as there are no shops in village for useful supplies. Beautiful and quiet. Would visit again.
