Private, newly renovated lakefront cottage on 10+ acres of land.

Enjoy the good life on beautiful and quiet Sweezey Lake. Lots of outdoor space with private walking trails and abundant wildlife. Newly renovated interior with great lake views. Enjoy cool lake breezes on the screened-in porch or the hot tub and fire pit on a cool night. Get on the water (except during the winter) with a private dock, kayaks, paddle boards, canoe, and paddle boat. Lots of other great amenities - gas fireplace, RV water and electric hookup (please coordinate with owner in advance if you intend to bring RV), tent platform, porch TV, EV charger, and bikes.

$100 pet fee per stay. Guests who do not include their pets on their reservation are subject to $500 fee.

Liability Waiver:
You understand that swimming, biking, hiking and the use of non-motorized boats ("Outdoor Activities") is at your own risk and that special risks may be involved. You accept full responsibility for any bodily injury arising from Outdoor Activities and hold owner harmless. You understand there are potential dangers that Outdoor Activities may present to children who are not carefully supervised, as well as the danger to any person with health risks, or engaging in Outdoor Activities while intoxicated or using any kind of drugs or medication, or while pregnant. You agree to wear life jackets while on or in the water. You agree to be fully and solely responsible for any accidents you may incur. All guests in my party acknowledge and agree that they have read and understand this waiver and they acknowledge that booking constitutes a binding and enforceable contract between guests and owner. You understand the risks discussed above and agree that you will assume all responsibility for yourself and for the consequences of those in your party. You agree to waive any claim whatsoever against owner for accidents or claims arising from Outdoor Activities. All guests in my party acknowledge and agree that they have read and understand this waiver and they acknowledge that booking constitutes a binding and enforceable contract between guests and owner.

This was everything it reports to be. A wonderful property on the edge of a good lake for gentle boating. We wanted for nothing! The check in process is easy, the host provided for so many little needs, and the peace was wonderful. I enjoyed short walks on the trails, paddle boarding and peddle boating around the lake, relaxing in the sunshine both on the porch and on the couch, and sleeping in comfort. I will happily happily return!

Second time even better than the first. While last year's stay was great, this year was even better. The weather was HOT but the cool breeze off the lake made everything pleasurable as we fished, kayaked, swam and watched the wildlife.

Beautiful lake view with relaxing atmosphere. We enjoyed fishing off the dock. Bon fire at night was very accessible and we had enough for the whole week! Hot tub was also a plus! Our pup Lily did have to be restricted to a leash which she is not use too but she did ok.

The cottage was excellent all updated and. Very well stocked. Our issue was the lake the Kids who are 7and9 put their siuts on as we unpacked the cars. The seven year old got stuck in the mu k so her dad went into get her and he sunk in over his ankles. The reason we rent a cottage on theake is to be able to use the lake and we could not use the lake very disappointing also the furniture outside was sparse there was 4 chairs too low for my husband and i(we are 70 yrs old two backless benches a d two low chaise chairs so we could not sit outside comfortably it was a terrible fit for us

this house was absolutely amazing. we stayed here for a family reunion that was across the lake. the house had everything that we could possibly need for our stay. the location was perfect!!!! it was clean, well stocked and very spacious. will 10000% stay here again. the host was top notch!!!!

Rainy yet wonderful

Wife and I were her for a week getaway from busy life. This was the perfect place! Weather was colder than expected but made for great times snuggled on the couch or spending time in the hot tub. The hiking trail was very nice as well. We had our dog with us and days it did not rain we were able to take the trek and enjoy nature. Dog was very curious of the bee hive being the first one she has seen. Thankfully we did not get close enough for her to get "too curious" lol. Fishing from the dock was even relaxing. Was able to catch a few bass and plenty of bluegil. The area is so quite and peaceful and just what we needed. Thank you for the stay.

Pre-Season Serenity

Having booked our time here for about a week prior to lake-season start, most days we felt we were utterly alone, surrounded by peace, nature, and privacy in this beautiful space.My husband fished, my daughter kayaked, and I fell in the lake. Great rest and great fun.

Great Spot!

Pretty location, perfect for a winter weekend getaway. Deer walking in the backyard, pretty view from the hot tub. Nugget ice machine! Original windows, so a tad chilly laying on the couch. Have to get the heater just right and put the fireplace on. But was a great stay!

Christmas on the lake

We have stayed here before and it was a great experience. This year we decided to come and visit family for Christmas. The property is well-kept and has a nice view of the lake. We stayed inside mostly due to the cold weather. The family with my grandkids came over to visit. There are some games and toys for children to play with. We plan to stay here again when we are in the area.

Family Wedding Stay

This was a perfect place for our family to stay for the weekend as we gathered for a wedding celebration. The property was well-maintained and our family loved the screened in porch. Everything was clean and the property had great layout. My family and I will definitely be back.

Perfect peaceful getaway

We loved our short stay at the cottage! The location is serene. We spent as much time outside as we could, which was easy to do given how many activities were available to us. We loved walking on the trail, taking the kayaks on the water, and lounging in the hammock. The hosts truly thought of everything to make the stay comfortable. We can't wait to come back!

Best Staycation Ever

Even though we we only 35 miles from home it felt like we were in northern Michigan. Fantastic property and beautiful countryside. House amenities were exactly as listed. As it was very hot that week the AC in individual rooms was a huge plus. We spent many hours on the lake which was peaceful during the week. When we returned home, it was a unanimous vote. We are going back next summer!
