The internet very, very poor, not connecting in the bedroom. The toilet not flushing properly, the shower water slow draining. The place has a musty smell. This place is not suitable to be a guest house, it should be used as a hostel. I would not recommend this place as a guest house.

Christy is a great host. She is very welcoming and attentive. The property is in a nice quiet part of town but not far from the beach and stores. I enjoyed laying in the hammock and walking through the beautiful, huge garden. It had everything I needed for a great stay. I didn't want to leave but I will be back.

Great people, clean accomodation, close to fun.

Amazing. Everything was perfect and the BEST breakfast in the island. Lovely hosts and quiet environment.

Fantastic knowledgeable host (thank you Victor!). Beautiful garden full of wildlife, fruit trees, and medicinal plants. A calm sanctuary at the end of a quiet street.

A tropical paradise

Christie was a wonderful host. She helped me with an emergency, helped me navigate Bridgetown, and supported me in dealing with a hospitalized family member. Th environment is very beautiful. Bridgetown is too hot for me!

Chi Gardens is the Best!

I simply need to go back as soon as possible. Christie and her team were amazing. I enjoyed every second of my stay. I learned so much and had so many wonderful conversations with the other guests. I have to recommend Chi Gardens for anyone wanting a peaceful experience while in Barbados. The garden is simple breath taking. I’m happy I chose to stay here for my first trip to Barbados.

A very unique setting , very different to where I would normally stay. But unique turned out to be extremely rewarding . Very quiet and naturistic settings in an old elegantly put together house. Its like a plantation house with lots of space .The owner closes the deal for me . Christy was extremely friendly and helpful , always willing to get anything that is needed . Chi Center is away from the beaten path but well within reach of downtown Bridgetown. Its the gem waiting to be discovered

was not great... 90s outdated fridge that did not freeze or keep food from spoiling... cost of paying for a/c use was not attractive. bathroom toilet did not flush well... host was hungry for me to stay more days... heck no!

Barbados Chi Guest House was an excellent stay from start to finish. To begin, the guest house is centrally located in the diplomatic area of "B-Town". Being steps away from embassies and other government buildings was an excellent start to seeing the local historic treasures. As a traveller who was looking for a natural experience entwined with the Bajans, the 5 minute walk to the bus and 20 minute walk to Carlyle Bay became central to my exploration of Barbados via bus/taxi. Secondly, the guest house is beautifully nestled on a parcel that allows for patio sunrises looking into the expansive natural garden the hosts have in the yard. Next, the hosts were fantastic. I was a solo traveller and from my original arrival till departure, they were full of courtesy, suggestions for locations, and how to travel to the planned spots, all while quietly tending their garden. My welcome included the host taking me down to Carlyle bay for the evening, taking her time to welcome me to Barbados, while helping me get comfortable with the week of exploring the island on foot i had planned. They even fixed a blown shower head seal the same day I informed them of the issue. Christy and Victor (aka Box) will be my first call for my next trip to Barbados, when I return to take in my missing site explorations. My next trip will include friends, so remember that they can accommodate large groups >10 as well.

From the moment I arrived, I felt such a warm and welcoming energy that immediately made the experience feel personal and meaningful. The property itself is absolutely stunning. Surrounded by the natural beauty of Barbados, The Chi House is peaceful, serene, and thoughtfully designed. Every corner feels intentional and calming, making it the perfect space to slow down, reflect, and reconnect. Christy was truly amazing—so personable, kind, and genuinely warm. Her hospitality made me feel completely at ease, and it was clear how much care and love she puts into creating a meaningful experience for her guests. One of the highlights of my visit was creating a vision board, which made the experience even more special. It was such a thoughtful and inspiring activity that allowed space for reflection, creativity, and intention-setting in such a beautiful environment. It felt empowering and uplifting to take that time in such a peaceful place. If you are visiting Barbados and looking for something soulful, restorative, and inspiring, I highly recommend spending time at The Chi House with Christy. It has a dusty and musty smell, there are many humidity problems on the ceilings, it is not a good environment. It is full of many personal items everywhere and everything looks very messy. The hostess had a bad attitude when I arrived, my flight was delayed, I notified her through Expedia. The entrance is uncomfortable, if it rains you get wet opening and closing the padlock. Does not accept credit cards. Dirty carpets, dangerous desk chair in poor condition. $20 per day additional and in cash to use the a/c and it doesn't cool well, it has a bad smell. It has a lot of rules, you even have to take out the trash.

Ich musste 140 USd für eigenes Badezimmer nachbezahlen. 50 USD für Zimmerreinugung!!!! 5 USD pro Stunde für späteres Ankunft. Keine Rezeption…. Wände waren Schmutz,Decke auch. Ich wurde in der Nacht total am Körper gebissen… Bettwanzen in der Matratze???? Würmer im Zimner,in der Dusche. Das Zimner wurde eine Woche lang nicht gereinigt,nicht mall der Abfall entsorgt.. Wir mussten warten auf den Transfer zum Flughafen auf einer Verande (nicht im Zimmer,was versprochen wurde),warten Auch für das musste ich 5 USD pro Stunde bezahlen. Nur Horror. Ich könnte die Fotos von unserem „luksus Apartment senden“ Kein Essen dort. Keine Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe,kein Restaurant. Mit dem Taxi bin ich zum Einkaufszentrum gefahren um etwas zum Essen einzukaufen. Das Essen war vom Kühlschrank verschwunden…. Wenn ich kann Brott von zuhause mitgenommen hätte,währen ich und mein Sohn verhungern!!!! Der Strand war auch 35 Gehminuten,nicht wie angegeben 15 Minuten entfernt. Nur dort waren Restaurants und nur dort haben wir einmal pro Tag gegessen. Horror!!! Ich rate Allen diesen Aufenthalt nicht zu buchen!!!!! Auch ein großer Hund ständig war im Garten., welcher eingeblig blind war und nicht”beissen kann” Ich hatte Angst….!!!! Ich Ratte Allen dieser Unterkunft nicht zu buchen!!!!!

My stay at Chi's Guesthouse was quite comfortable. It offered a little snippet into Barbadian culture, as it is nestled in a quiet neighborhood. The area is also safe, so it's perfect for early morning walks. There's also a garden, and the host is very friendly.

I had a great time at Barbados CHI guest house and the hostess Christy was a delight. The location is perfect - an easy walk or minivan ride to the beach. The gardens were beautiful creating a peaceful atmosphere and Christy is a actual master gardener. I loved to hear the singing frogs at night and the various birds during the day. For a stay with peace and quiet with easy access and opportunity to experience Barbadian daily living, beaches, and culture—this is the place to be. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!

Wonderful Garden Guesthouse

For me the best part of travel is the people I meet and experiences I have.Christy and Victor showed us the most wonderful time! Whether it was sitting by a bonfire in the garden, serving us local Bajan food, or taking us to the local farmer's market, all of the care they take with their guests makes for a very special and memorable and trip. At the end of a long beach day or trip around the island it was so nice to come back and sit on the veranda overlooking the garden with a nice glass of wine and catch up with our hosts. My daughter and I, had a wonderful time in Barbados and we have Christy and Victor to thank for it.
