Tucked away on a working Welsh farm in the stunning Brecon Beacons National Park, Oak Barn is a beautifully converted 5-star eco barn offering a stylish and sustainable escape for up to 12 guests. With breathtaking surroundings, elegant interiors, and eco-conscious design, this is a true rural retreat for friends, families, and celebrations.
This thoughtfully designed barn blends traditional character with modern comfort. From the underfloor heating powered by a biomass wood-fired boiler and solar panels, to the unique ground-source heat recovery system, every detail reflects a commitment to sustainability, without compromising on luxury.
The centrepiece of the property is the private garden and covered terrace, where a deluxe swim spa invites you to unwind under the incredible dark skies of the Brecon Beacons. Whether stargazing with a glass of wine or sharing stories after a day of exploring, this space is perfect for reconnecting and relaxing.
Inside, Oak Barn is equally impressive. The expansive open-plan living and dining area features a statement curved sofa gathered around a sleek wall-mounted wood-burning stove and large Smart TV, ideal for cosy evenings in.
The handmade oak dining table comfortably seats 16, creating a warm and welcoming space for shared meals and memorable moments.
The fully equipped kitchen includes a Range Master cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, and a generous fridge/freezer, perfect for preparing anything from hearty breakfasts to celebratory feasts. A starter pack consisting of tea, coffee and sugar sachets are also available to get your started.
Oak Barn sleeps 12 guests: eight in spacious double bedrooms and four on double sofa beds. One bedroom is located on the ground floor with “rise and recline” twin beds and a private en-suite wet room, ideal for guests with mobility needs.
A separate downstairs WC is also available.
Upstairs, all bedrooms have en-suite facilities, two with large walk-in showers and one featuring a luxurious corner bath. Each bedroom is thoughtfully furnished with oak dressing tables, ample wardrobe space, and smart TVs.
There is also a cot and highchair available for infants to use.
All of our bathrooms are equipped with complimentary Black Pepper & Sandalwood Shampoo & Body Wash and Conditioner, featuring heated rails for the fluffiest, warmest towels, promising pure comfort.
Back down stairs, you can step outside through French doors to the sun terrace, complete with elegant outdoor furniture and a large pre-built charcoal BBQ. Whether you're dining al fresco or soaking in the swim spa, the tranquil views make it all the more special.
For those travelling with little ones, a cot and highchair are provided (please bring your own cot blankets).
We’re also proud to support eco-conscious travel, EV charging stations are available on-site, allowing guests to conveniently charge electric vehicles during their stay.
Please note: The swim spa/hot tub is for adult use only. For safety reasons, it is not suitable for children under 16 or pregnant guests. We clean and refill the hot tub after every stay; it may take up to 12 hours to reach optimal temperature.
