"My son and I had the pleasure of staying there for a single evening mid-May. It had been a long day, and we were ready for exactly what they offered: a quaint, cozy, historic place to feast and lay our heads for the night. As we came in, we were greeted by the mother and daughter duo (sorry, I can't recall their names). The mother showed us to an upgraded dual room meant for a family. "A good overnight stop on our journey to the south coast! Very friendly staff in the bar welcomed us, and were extremely helpful. Nicely decorated and spacious rooms. A good choice of decent meals on the bar menu available in the pub, so convenient not having to dine elsewhere. Excellent value, and both the evening and morning staff were great. Yes, a bit of road noise, and extractor noise heard in our 2 rooms, but we are used to silent nights living in a rural location!"

"A beautiful shiny new hotel with well thought through design and such aesthetic decor. The staff were helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had a pleasant stay. The roof top bar was a definite plus, with fab views, it just made the weekend for me and my friend who had a long overdue catch up. So close to the station, an easy weekend away."

"We enjoyed our stay, however the bed was only small my 6’1 husbands feet hung over the end, other than that it was comfortable. Its a good 15 minute walk into town for a restaurant but there are plenty of take aways about 150 yards away, and a pub about a 5 minute walk. Our room was at the back overlooking the river so it was lovely and quiet."

"Great and memorable stay. The food was excellent, especially the dinner and I would rate this place 10/10. The staff were very friendly, helpful and went out of their way to assist us, showing great flexibility throughout our stay. The rooms were exceptional, truly beyond words. "A fabulous hotel and well worth a stay! We made a last minute booking as a stop off on the motorway - it's about a mile from the M5 but you'd never know it. A beautiful old building and great amenities mean you don't either need or want to go elsewhere. A choice of a fine dining restaurant or the bistro-style Atrium meets all needs. Had it been better weather when we were there we would have loved sitting out on the beautiful terrace and enjoying the garden. I'm very very fussy about hotels and...
